Chris, if you look at the transcription, a lot of the dates are January 1 of whatever year they died. The cemetery records show that when they don't have an exact date of birth, just the year. Just FYI. Thanks. Lisa

Your birth/death date is off by 20 years. It does not match the date on the stone. Perhaps you meant to write 1779?

Thank you.

I got most all info, especially about the non-Cherokee Chamberlin/Chamberlain, from a book written by Eunice Miena Barber. It's online - Google. Thanks. :)

Hi Chris- sorry it took me so long to take care of this, I just came across your email now regarding David B. Locke # 42469395
I connected his parents to him. Also I rechecked my notes and the stone did in-fact say 'DIED 1863'

RE: Lydia Gee - #22652370
The photo of grave on ancestry is actually Lydia's headstone. I photographed all the stones in that cemetery and there is no stone for Jacob, in fact neither Lydia or Jacob appear on cemetery list, there were also 50 other names not listed in the cemetery list but who are buried there. I believe Jacob is there also but can not prove it. I don't think he is in Shadyrest. Near Lydia's stone is one for a Isaac H. Gee.
