|deanna french||D,C, Oakhill,General Sylvester Churchill|
I am a Civil War buff, and am working on a project to identify the last resting places of many of our Civil War Soldiers that had roots/ties to Vermont, to post on the Vermont Civil War site. ( www.vermontcivilwar.org)
May I use the Monument photo that you contributed to Gen Churchill's Find A Grave Memorial page, and others, if there are others by you for this purpose?
You will receive proper credit for this.
Thank you for your consideration.

I know! Annoying, isn't it?!
I've tried a few times to reorient these photos and every time I do, they look fine when they open on the computer, and rotate back when I upload them! Tried resaving them, then rotating them and resaving again to no avail.
I'll give it one more shot and try opening them in photoshop, making a change, and then saving as a new photo and see if that works. If I had taken these with my phone, there is an easy fix that I've been sent by several helpful folks. However, I didn't take them with a phone, I used a digital camera and no one seems to have a fix for that yet lol!
As with all my photos, you are welcome to download the photo and rotate it yourself, as well as post it on ancestry or whatever. But I'll see what I can do.
And thanks for the compliments!!
Have a great day!!

Nice to "meet" you. This photo was put up by Angie Robinson. Angie has posted thousands of photos and is very reputable. However, this one is a little tricky. The caption, which you can't read unless you click on the picture, states that Henry C is buried behind and to the right of Richard. She is generally very accurate and I would trust her on this one. So I suggest that her caption should be in the notes. I'll copy/paste it and credit her for the data. What do you think?

Thanks for the "heads up"; I should have caught that from her parents' last name.

Yes, I am related to the NC Bonner's. Although Bonner is my married name, my husband's father was adopted by Gordon Josiah Bonner and his wife Mattie Pearl Hicks in MS. Mattie was Mr. Bonner's maternal Aunt. Gordon was born in MS, his father and Grandparents were born in GA. His Gr Gr Grandparents and before where from NC, I know Chowan was one of the places. These Bonners are related to me through my paternal grandmother. I hope this helps you, maybe we can find a connection. Are your related to the Chase Family also??

Answering your questions:
Yes, this Thomas Chase is the son of Desire Luce and Thomas Chase. His father fought with John Paul Jones during the Revolutionary War and are my 5th Gr Grandparents.
This Thomas Chase did in fact was part of "The Constitution of the State of Maine" Convention, which established the State of Maine in 1820. This Constitution of the State of Maineis the fundamental governing document of the state. It consists of a Preamble and ten Articles, the first Article the "Declaration of Rights."

Wasn't sure if you wanted any bio information since he is on the family tree you set up. He was an architect and member of the AIA, and they have his bio information on their website: http://public.aia.org/sites/hdoaa/wiki/AIA%20scans/Rosters/AdamsWoodbridge_roster.pdf
