Thanks
I am not a Davenport. My 3 great aunt, Lettie D. Mathers married William Tilghman Asher Howard Boles, who was the younger brother of Nancy Jane Boles Davenport. Nancy was born in Indiana in 1825 according to census records. I'll send that information as an additional edit. Thanks.

Thanks, Stacey, I knew it was not intentional, and certainly not the only slip up in that cemetery....I had to send out more than 100 edits and I'm still waiting on 26 to be accepted:)....thanks for all your help!

RE: Morgan County
Thanks, Stacey--it's a bigger job than we imagined but we are having fun and hopefully updating and preserving the information that in a few years may be totally lost. I'm not sure we'll live long enough to finish it, but we're a good team and go out at least once a week (sometimes more if the weather cooperates)--the winter we had didn't help, but we're back in gear now:)

RE: Miles
The Library has a new cemetery database so five of us are now trying to update the library lists one cemetery at a time. We have added almost 600 memorials to the Find A Grave and library listing for Centennial in the last couple of weeks. We have completed the cemeteries listed on my page so far--just 100+ to go!!:) Doing well and keeping busy for sure! Hope all is well with you.

Hi! You took a photo for findagrave.com memorial #8484396, but it is low resolution. Are you able to read the dates on the stone on the original photo?

RE: shaving cream
I am well aware of the shaving cream controversy. I guess you do not understand that some people clean off the headstones immediateely after they take a picture. I just happen to be one of those people. and I also only use that in the most exterme situations when doing it is the only way to see whos headstone it is. There are some of the photos that I have done lately that were transferred to me from someone else where I was given their copyright permission because there were duplicate memorials. SO befor you chastize someone get your facts straight.

RE: Milton Flake
I put the location on the caption when you double-click the picture. It is on the right side of the cemetery, just in front of the Koons and Paxton stones, almost to the back of the cemetery. If you see the large St. John stone at the front of the cemetery, go straight back from there to a couple of rows from the back of the cemetery. It is leaning against a stump with a few other stones. I tried baking soda and shadowing it but all that is left is the partial date of death; the month is questionable. It is the size of a typical child's stone. I am trying to get pictures of all of the stones in this cemetery as many of them are almost past discernability. There are also MANY ( I counted 181) mistakes of location between Williams and Williams-Bradford cemeteries. I am trying to get pictures from both cemeteries to verify locations as well.. I hope this helps.
