Warren Family
Everywhere I look up the Warren's you have posted such wonderful info about them. My husband's mother was Garnet Elizabeth Warren, daughter of Arthur Clarke Warren, he was the son of William Henry Warren, Jr. and so on....I recently found your info on Ester Violet Elnora Warren Campos. The fact that she had found she was a descendant of William de Warrene. One of our researchers in 1956 had found the family was from Warrene, but she had the father of William Henry Warren SR. was William Barton Warren, I found John Warren and Jane Johnson parents of SR. They all lived here in Missouri. John's father was William Warren b. 1765 KY, d.1810 in KY. I have not been able to go farther back. Do you have the rest, to Warrene?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Jean Greene

Gist's in Pottawatomie Co., OK
Do you know if any of the Gist's came to Pottawatomie Co., OK in early 1900's? (maybe perhaps a relative to Lucy Ann Elizabeth Gist - Smith). I'm looking for a Sank Gist. An interview with Joe Mundy of Wanette, Okla. stated "Old man Gist had shoe shop in Mundy’s building." and I found an old picture taken in Wanette, Okla. about 1906-1907 in Wanette, Okla. identification gives the woman's name as Mrs. Sank Gist and she was representing George Beal's Tin Shop in this picture. Thanks for any help. Mindy

RE: Dora Alice Payne
Would you be interested in an exchange of genealogical information? I am new to this site and see only a public way to contact. I have Payne family info if so. Thanks for your time and reply!

Dora Alice Payne
Hello TerriH,
Do you have a connection to Dora Alice Payne? My grandmother was her sister, Oda Payne, who lived in California with her folks when they moved there from Arkansas.

It appears you are related to Mrs. Johnson; therefore, it is only right that you maintain her memorial and I am transferring her to you ASAP.

I am only the keeper of the memorial until someone come along and lets me know they belong to them.

Take good care of her for me :o)

Hi Terri, Updated the information you sent me. My information comes from several places, the cemetery, obits, and I have a copy of most of the Funeralhome records for North Platte. Vallie's information came from her Funeralhome Record. Mistakes can happen, thank you for fixing this one. If you notice anything else, please let me know.

Do you want the copies of Chas. 34th Inf enl. Sebastian Co. 2 pgs only.? I believe that could be it. It was very short. Looks like he joined and then was gone.

Chas C Smith
I looked in MO & AR and found only one CSA record which could be a possible match which is at the end.

Chas E. 2nd Inf
Chas. 3rd Inf joined in Springfield, MO disch. Mar 18, 1863 age 45 b: VA res: Gentry Co.

Chas. 34th Inf enl. Sebastian Co. 2 pgs only
Chas. 33rd Inf. Co. A disch. Camp White Sulphur Sep 23rd b: 1834 in VA
Chas. 18th Inf. Co. G age 33 joined Greenville MO enl. Pittman's Ferry
Chas. 13th Inf. Co. H enl. Mound City, AR
Chas E. 5th Inf.
Chas L. 23rd Inf.
Chas. P. 24th Inf.
Chas. & C. R. Smith didn't write this one down
Chas H. 37th Inf.

final one which I think might be him:

Chas. C. 27th AR Inf. Co. H age 34 joined in Izard Co.; absent sick on furlough; looks like he never came back
