Frances W. (Harvey) Angus
Hello, I see that you did not create the memorial for Frances (Harvey) Angus but do maintain it. I was wondering if you would mind making some corrections and additions to her memorial, if you too believe this is correct. My 3rd Gr. Grandfather Zebulon Pike Angus first married Frances W Harvey (Daughter of Thomas Harvey & Betsey Seay) 5 Nov 1938 in Nelson County Virginia. They had no children that I am aware of. Frances W Harvey born 25 Jun 1816 died June 1842 Nelson County Virginia.

I am wondering if the memorial could be a duplicate because it says that her spouse was F.W. Angus, which I believe is actually her initials and her husband at the time of her death would have been Zebulon Pike Angus who died many years later and I am unable to find his grave or the grave of his 2nd wife Eliza A.P. Scrugg Angus (my 3rd Gr. Grandmother) thank you for any information about this!

Hello Sir,
Jacob Joy (1760-1839) is my 4th Great Grandfather. Jacob Joy Sr (1734-1812 is my 5th GGF. I see that you left Tributes to them. Are you a descendant of their's? I'm a Genealogist. I'd appreciate exchanging Lineage, if agreeable with you. Thank you for your consideration.
Ken Kelly,

RE: Oh yes..
Greetings, Jonathan! It's so nice to hear from you!

I am not logged on to Find-a-Grave too often and it was a nice surprise to find your note.

BTW, today I stopped by the Mount Hope Cemetery office and put in a request to have Abraham
De Mallie and wives grave markers righted. The office manager said it would be given attended we'll see. There are hundreds, if not thousands, of markers that are in need of attention. Nonetheless, Joel and I are looking forward to the eventual repair and being able to see the stone's proper inscription. We'll update you soon as the stones are repaired....but it may be awhile.

Thank you, Mr. De Mallie!
Wow. Thank you for your years of research. I noticed you put a Mason symbol on one of the earliest Beans in America. I am decsended from the Capt. Bean who fought "at the neck" to win territory which would later become Portland, Maine.

I am very curious about the Bean taken captive by Indians circa 1700, sold to another tribe then returned after 8 years. (I'll have to go back to my notes to get specifics. But, since you're a historian maybe you already know the events to which I refer.

I am descended from the earliest Potters, Bartletts, and Tafts, so we're related on one or more of those colonial lineages.

Are you on or I can give you viewing access to my tree in case that helps you understand which pre-1700 Bean immigrants I refer to. I'm descended from Beans through my Bartlett line.

Thank you again for your many years of work on find a grave & family history research!

Your distant cousin,

Jeremiah Taylor
I saw you left a Masonic emblem on the Find a Grave for Jeremiah Taylor (B. ca. 1765; Died ca. 1860). He is an ancestor of my wife's.

As a historian what version of the ancestry branch do you think is most accurate - The Zachariah Taylor ancestry, or the William Taylor ancestry? OR is this something that you studied.

Thank you

Rich Ware
Hi Robert,

Thanks much for your message. I don't believe Joe Ware is in my line. All my Ware descendants came from New Jersey so it appears you are in a different ancestral line than I'm in. I have not yet found where my ancestor Andrew Ware (c. 1710-1765) lived prior to appearing in New Jersey. We know from histories written that he may have come from somewhere in England, but I don't know which boat he came over on, or whether or not his parents came to a New England colony and then he moved to NJ. I don't know.

Good luck on your genealogical pursuits.

Hi Jonathan, I noticed you recently left tokens for ancestors in the Gallo Matese, Italy cemetery. Are we related? Please private message me at I have a couple questions. Have a great day and thanks a million!

Wrights in Virginia
They were in Fauquier County before moving to Ohio. It used to be thought that they were connected to some of George Washington's ancestors, but that was supposedly disproven about ten years ago. So I don't know anything before the 1810 census in Fauquier County of my fourth-great-grandparents and their three oldest children.

RE: Tnx
Memorial #? Sorry, I didn't note it. I was preparing a bio regarding his father, ran across the Find A Grave post, and moved on. Today I searched and found Memorial #21059167 which is the same person and it accurately identifies his parents. I don't know much about Jeremiah "Jere" "Jerry" Hill Merrill but, when I get the time, I'll post a flower to that site since his father was an impressive guy (Civil War colonel, Iowa Governor, California real estate developer).

Jere Hill Merrill
I suspect I know who this is, but don't understand the Memorial that lists no cemetery or other information.

Samuel Merrill, Colonel of the 21st Iowa Infantry during the Civil War, a two-term postwar Governor of Iowa, and a real estate developer in California, was married to Elizabeth Hill. Their son, born in 1874, was "Jeremiah H. Merrill" sometimes referred to as Jerry and Jere.
