RE: Boudreau dit Graveline
Hi Vintage Vixen I don't descent from the Baudreau Family but I am connected by common ancestors to most of the Baudreau wives. Marie Tessier, Margueite Trudel, Veronique Archamnbault and Emilie Leduc, making them all cousins. The only one not connected is Marguerite Martineau.

Hi The info came from posted trees checked against the original records. I have a subscription to Ancestry.com (World), that gives me access to everything. If you don't have this and would like some of these records, I can copy them to my hard drive then forward them to you.

Thank you so very much for taking the time to photograph the graves of my uncle, aunt, and cousin. I've been a Find A Grave volunteer for over ten years. This is the first time that I have been the recipient of the great work we volunteers all do.

H Cheryl,
So happy to have found a 'home' for yet another of the people from that cemetery. It was such a sad place so see.
And, yes I am busy adding photos, still have a dozen or so small cemeteries to sort and transcribe yet, so my to do list never seems to get any shorter!

Soon enough it will be spring and time for road trips!!! Can hardly wait

RE: Sametta Schmidt @ St. Boniface Leofeld
I really appreciate you doing all that work, and I'm sure it will help a lot of other people find their relatives too. It's great that there didn't end up being too many unmarked plots. I guess I should check to see if I can submit a correction on the name for Loretta to that website that had the cemetery index.

RE: Sametta Schmidt @ St. Boniface Leofeld
p.s. I just saw the listing you made with the photo for "Lorette". I don't know... I searched the index http://genealogy.ehealthsask.ca/vsgs_srch.aspx and did not find any Schmidt who died in 1911, including all possible alternate spellings of the last name. So I wonder if this is the baby Lorretta but the stone was done later with the wrong year by accident. The age at death is fine for her. So I'm not sure.

Linda Trippel
RE: Trippel headstone
Hi Cheryl
Thank you so much. I would love to have that photo too. John (Johannes) was my husband's grandfather and his grandmother was Maria Trippel, John's first wife. Maria and Johannes came from Russia around 1890. I found a book online about early Rosthern and they arrived in February and lived in a tent!!! What a hardship to help build this beautiful country. I think there are a number of Trippels still living in Rosthern. I have put my name down to take gravesite photos as you are doing. I haven't done any yet. I must get going at it. I was planning on doing it after retiring but that hasn't seemed to happen yet. I live in Chilliwack BC.
Thank You
Linda

Trippel headstone
Thank you so much for taking the time to get this headstone photo. It has really helped me to sort out that line in my ancestry search. Trippels originally came to Canada from Russia so there are not too many records to follow. Thank you again.

RE: Sametta Schmidt @ St. Boniface Leofeld
Thank you so much! :-)
I used this site to find her listing: http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cansacem/ , and http://www.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~cansacem/leofeld.html but it is just a list and doesn't include plot locations.

My grandma was born in Leofeld (before immigrating to the US as a child) and I'm still hunting for burials for 3 of her siblings that died as infants and young children, without having any luck yet, but this baby was her first cousin.
