Hi Martin,

According to a webpage linked to the University of Virginia, the image is not a painting, but an early photograph. It was labeled "E. S. Field, mid-1840s. Daguerreotype colored by the artist." If you would like to check is out, the website is http://xroads.virginia.edu/~cap/field/biointro.html

I would LOVE to see the picture you have. Thanks for contacting me! It must be very exciting to have a famous artist in your family history.

RE: White Family
Super! I will email you in the next couple of days. I have them on the computer at work. There are far too many pictures to upload to the page. I've already cropped them but I still need to rename them and write explanations for you. Sorry it took so long. They've been on the camera since last year and I totally forgot them. I was able to take photos on the first floor of the mansion, but haven't got access to the inside of the Carriagehouse.

RE: Paine Headstone Photos
Hi Martin
You can absolutely make copies of those photos. I took them to fulfill a photo request. I additionally took photos of 2 additional Paine family members, Willmarth and Marion Paine but the gentleman who had made the photo requests did not want them and so I just created the memorials. These are not related to me so if you would like them, I would be happy to transfer them to you.
Thank You
Judy Miller

RE: Katherine L. Prince
I have transferred her memorial to you. I'm glad it found someone that has information on her and can update it properly.

Please use my photos in any way you see fit.

This cemetery is a tough one. It has not been well maintained and many of the markers are missing, never placed, or are badly damaged. In addition, the original burial records were lost in a fire making it impossible to identify many of its residents. I don't see any other "Prince" in the list of known plots so you may be out of luck.

BTW, I work right next to the White mansion and can get newer/closer photos than the one I put on the memorials. That photo was taken a decade ago, before the Cleve. Clinic had the stone cleaned. Also, there's a matching outbuilding behind it. I have also been inside the mansion. It's a modest but lovely house. I may be able to get them to let me in and take inside photos for you...let me know.

Sorry for the late reply. Yes, have fun with the photos. Do you want a transfer of the memorial to you and any others I may have?

Hi Martin--You may certainly use my photos (no credit needed). If you want me to transfer any records to you, just submit a request for each record. I love giving people their people :)

Thanks for asking for permission. Definitely go ahead and use the picture for your family tree. I knew Eunice and her family when I was growing up in Athol. Went to school with daughter, Caroline.
Please e-mail me with the Carlson family you are interested in. Maybe we are cousins! Sue
