Thank you!
Thank you so much for posting a picture of my grandpa's grave. Its not close to my home, so I don't get to see it as often as I would like. Seeing it here made me extremely happy! I really appreciate it!!!!

Thanks for the tips on George's parents! I've added them to his memorial. He's only related to me through his grandson's marriage, so I didn't know much about him at all.

RE: Markham Memorials, Buffalo,KS
I will be happy to transfer the Markham's to you. It may take me a little while to do them all. You can add all of the relationships.

I was shocked that so few were on Find A Grave from that cemetery. There is one small section I have not photographed but intend to do that on the first nice day. It has been a little too cold to do it. I may not get it done until spring. It has mainly the very old stones in it so will take quite awhile to photograph.

Thanks!
Mary

RE: Everhart Family
Mike,
The George Everhart story and mention of the Bible, can be found in the book: "The Blue Book of Schuylkill County" by, Mrs. Ella Zerby Elliott 1916 (pages 69 & 70). It can be found online at Heritage Quest and other web sites. I will try and forward it to you, via email. I think the Bible is the key to solving the mystery of the Everhart Family.

Everhart Family
Hi Mike,

I just found your web site on the Everhart Family. I am going to assume that you know about the George Everhart Family, which lived in what is now Pine Grove Township, Schuylkill County, PA., killed by indians in 1755 with the exception of Margaret Mary Everhart, taken captive? Also: Are you aware of a Everhart Family Bible that was owned by a Frederic Gerhard of Pottsville, PA in the early 1900's? I am not sure, but I think he was a great grandson of Margaret Everhart. The family Bible dates from the 16th century. I just found out that there was a bible and plan to search for it. I have found the name spelled, Everhart, Everheart and Everhard.

RE: Good Cemetery
I don't think it is on pvt. propertyand if it is I'm sure if you go to that house they will say yes, most of the farmers in the area are nice,
I walked in from the north when I was locating it.
it is easy to get to from B hwy. go south and accross the bridge and it is on the left up the hill,or on around same rd to the farm house and look left you can see some of the markers.
it was a real mess when I was there, lot of under growth and brush.
Remember it is also an Indian grave yard also, lot of field stone markers in the North east side of it
happy hunting Doug

RE: Grave marker - Anna Everhart
Hi Mike
Sorry but I don't have a beter pic for her and I couldn't read all of the markers that I took that day.
I need to go back and do a better job on that cem. It is in really bad shape and it was raining pretty hard by the time I found it so I got in a hurry.
If you will make another request for the pic's when it warms up some I'll go back ,It' abt. 30 miles from home but I can do somemore in that area.
I need to take a weed whacker this time as it is not maintained for several years.
