Thanks for the tips on George's parents! I've added them to his memorial. He's only related to me through his grandson's marriage, so I didn't know much about him at all.

I will be happy to transfer the Markham's to you. It may take me a little while to do them all. You can add all of the relationships.
I was shocked that so few were on Find A Grave from that cemetery. There is one small section I have not photographed but intend to do that on the first nice day. It has been a little too cold to do it. I may not get it done until spring. It has mainly the very old stones in it so will take quite awhile to photograph.

|Mark Weitzel||RE: Everhart Family|
The George Everhart story and mention of the Bible, can be found in the book: "The Blue Book of Schuylkill County" by, Mrs. Ella Zerby Elliott 1916 (pages 69 & 70). It can be found online at Heritage Quest and other web sites. I will try and forward it to you, via email. I think the Bible is the key to solving the mystery of the Everhart Family.

|Mark Weitzel||Everhart Family|
I just found your web site on the Everhart Family. I am going to assume that you know about the George Everhart Family, which lived in what is now Pine Grove Township, Schuylkill County, PA., killed by indians in 1755 with the exception of Margaret Mary Everhart, taken captive? Also: Are you aware of a Everhart Family Bible that was owned by a Frederic Gerhard of Pottsville, PA in the early 1900's? I am not sure, but I think he was a great grandson of Margaret Everhart. The family Bible dates from the 16th century. I just found out that there was a bible and plan to search for it. I have found the name spelled, Everhart, Everheart and Everhard.

I don't think it is on pvt. propertyand if it is I'm sure if you go to that house they will say yes,most of the farmers in the area are nice,
I walked in from the north when I was locating it.
it is easy to get to from B hwy. go south and accross the bridge and it is on the left up the hill,or on around same rd to the farm house and look left you can see some of the markers.
it was a real mess when I was there,lot of under growth and brush.
Remember it is also an Indian grave yard also,lot of field stone markers in the North east side of it
happy hunting Doug

|Douglas Pyeatt||RE: Grave marker - Anna Everhart|
Sorry but I don't have a beter pic for her and I couldn't read all of the markers that I took that day.
I need to go back and do a better job on that cem. It is in really bad shape and it was raining pretty hard by the time I found it so I got in a hurry.
If you will make another request for the pic's when it warms up some I'll go back ,It' abt. 30 miles from home but I can do somemore in that area.
I need to take a weed whacker this time as it is not maintained for several years.
Added by Douglas Pyeatt on Jan 14, 2012 4:34 PM
I can't link Anna's daughters. Only the person who owns her daughters's memorials can make the link. Since I owned her son's, John, memorial, I did link him to his mother.

|K W Weaver||RE: Ulrich Shepherd and Weaver Family|
I am the younger of Mary Weaver's two sons (not so young anymore). I grew up in Spickard Missouri and graduated from Trenton High School in 1976. In 1979 I moved to NorthEast Texas, near Clarksville to work on a corporate farm. In September 1981 I followed my future wife to Southwest Kansas and lived in Deerfield for the next 25 years. In June of 2006 we moved to Beaver Oklahoma. I have worked for Northern Natural Gas since 1986 and had to move Due to the plant being shut down. My 22 year old son lives in Garden City Ks.and my 26 year old daughter,her husband, and my 6 month old grandson live here in Beaver.My daughter lived in Hays Ks.for 7 years before she got married last summer. My brother lives a couple of miles east of Brimson Missouri which is not far from the Grundy/Harrison county line.Mom's brother and his wife live in Spickard in the house that he and mom grew up in. I go back and visit at least once a year. My brother is not interested in family history so I got all of the records and old pictures aftr Mom died. If you are ever in the area feel free to come by and look at what I have.
