Maiden Name of Catherine Houser Werkheiser
What is the evidence for the maiden name of Catherine Werkheiser, wife of Henry A. Werkheiser, Find A Grave Memorial # 62763732? Her mother's surname is clearly spelled Heisler in two censuses (1850 and 1870) and phonetically spelled Hisler in 1860. This is not the same as Houser or Hauser.

Unless if you have proof where I can find.

George & Clara Kindrew/Mt Zion Cemetery
George W and Clara E Kindrew had an additional daughter not listed with their other children. Lucy Ellen Kendrew Phillips (original spelling of grandfather's, Christian Kendrew, surname which she used) was born in 1899 and died in 1996. Her father George was born in Madison Township, Luzerne (now Lackawanna) County, Pennsylvania.

She moved to Sterling Township, Wayne County, Pennsylvania in the early 1900's to live with her uncle and aunt Frank E. and Lucy Cary Kendrew. She lived in the Sterling area the rest of her life and married Horace Phillips in 1921. They had two children, Mable Phillips Brown and Albert Phillips. Pvt Albert Phillips was KIA at Anzio, Italy and was MIA for eight years and is now interred in the Ardennes American Cemetery in Belgium.

Lucy is buried in the Sterling, Wayne County, Pennsylvania cemetery.

Hufsmith family?
Hello - please contact me re the Hufsmith family (Sarah Catherine Hufsmith's first husband was my direct ancestor Benjamin Bernhard Beears (Find A Grave Memorial# 44220824), who I realize you don't have linked to the family, but I think I can supply you with ample evidence, incl. the photo of Benjamin B that I added to his page last night.

Between your pages, and some from Find A Grave users Tom Myers and K Beears, there are a lot of memorials for this family that are not sufficiently well linked.

Thanks - hope I do have all of this correct, but I have some first-hand family sources -

Sorry something happened the last try that took me back to my profile. Anyway -- you have a memorial #82270329 created on Dec 22, 2011. I see now that you state you had taken pictures of whole cemetery. Before seeing this on your profile page I requested a stone for him. I just received a notice from Find a Grave that the volunteer said there is no record of this person in the cemetery and stated they were removing my request for a photo request. How did you determined that this person was in this cemetery so that you could create a memorial?

Thomas Sheckler
Grave of Minnie Frable
I am a grandson of Eva P Shafer (nee Frable) whose gravestone I recently viewed on Find a Grave.

In Buena Vista Cemetery, Brodheadsville, Pa, are buried at least 3 sisters of Eva: Augusta Smith, Ida Frable, and Minnie Frable.

I was responsible for the interment of my great aunt, Minnie Ellen Frable.

However, I cannot find her grave in Buena Vista Cemetery; and I note that there is no photo of her stone at Find a Grave.

I would greatly appreciate any help you could give me.

Thank you,
Tom Sheckler

Curt and Jann Texter

Would you please consider transferring the following memorials to me?

Curtis Michael Texter
Find A Grave Memorial #62697955

Jann Helene Texter
Find A Grave Memorial# 62697986

I knew Curt at Pocono Mountain High School and was terribly saddened about his and his wife Jann's tragic deaths!

I've already put Curt's graduation picture on his memorial, but also have his obituary that I'd like to include there.

I noticed that Curt's mother was a Starner, so I don't know if you and he are related, but I promise I'll take good care of him and Jann.

I spoke with Curt's brother yesterday and he's writing a story about Curt and Jann's tragic accident. I'm hoping that he'll give permission for this to be included on their memorials here!

Thank you very much for your consideration!

Kindest Regards,

Mae West
