RE: Langan/Haff
All I know, he was born in Chicago and a lineman for the QB&C railroad at the time he was married to Louise Buttner. As far as his siblings I have not gotten that far in my search. I have yet to locate John Thomas Langan's parents. Are you using Family Search dot org? Do you have another source? This can get confusing.

RE: Langan/Haff
Most likely not the same John Thomas Langan. The one I'm related to had two children John and a daughter Mary Louise who died the day after she was born. Nancy Haff was my Father's half sister.

RE: Langan/Haff
John Thomas Langan was a fairly common name. Am I reading you message correctly? Are you saying John Langan and Ann Lavelle Langan are my Great-grandparents? How do we know that we are talking about the same person. I don't have much information. Everything my Father told me has turned out to be false. Let me see what I can find out and I will get back to you.

RE: Langan/Haff
You have my permission to use the photos. Thanks for asking. John Thomas Haff was born John Thomas Langan. His Mother Louise Buttner immigrated from Germany. He took his Stepfather's surname. Later had it legally changed around 1977 or 78.

Based on what I've found my Dad's parents must have divorced. My Grandfather, also John Thomas Langan is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Montgomery, IL. Died in 1950. I was told Louise married a Bert Haff. I haven't been able to verify this. Nor have I been able to locate where my Grandmother Louise is buried. I was told somewhere in Batavia, IL.

I'm extremely interested in finding relatives on his side of the family. Especially living relatives. I'm not a paid member of Ancestry so I'm limited on accessibility.

Yes you may use the photo of Joseph Berry's memorial plaque. All I ask is that you state that it was taken by me and posted to Find A Grave.

I am more than happy to transfer them, your message made me laugh about coming across any of your other family. I am always looking, I just take random pictures, do you know where the others would be buried??
