RE: Kimballs/Chepachet RI
I just saw those photos of Lt. Col. Asa Kimball's house last night on Ancestry! That is so great of you to post them. I had no idea his house was still standing! The photos of his house exterior and interior were really nice, and I loved the plaque even if it was no longer attached to the house. My Rhode Island genealogy list of must-see's is getting longer! ;-)

Double thanks!
I owe you a double-thanks for both taking new photos of the Kimballs in Chepachet/Glocester and also for giving me the heads-up that you were adding more Kimballs online. What a completely thoughtful and kind thing to do! You're the best!!

RE: John P. Eaton
Hey Amy -

Thanks for your quick response.

Sure, that would be fine to transfer John P. Eaton to me. And thank you for uploading him to the findagrave site.

Regards,
Nancy

John P. Eaton 1824-1886
Hello -

I saw that you had created a memorial for John P Eaton, 1824-1866, who is is buried in Rome Proctorville Cemetery, Lawrence Co, OH. This John P. Eaton is my direct line ancestor, and I just wanted to mention that the wife you have listed, Julia Ann Blake Eaton, is his second wife. His first wife was Margaret (Morrison) Eaton with whom he had five children. He had three more children with Julia (Blake) Eaton.

I don't know if that is something you want to add to this memorial or not.

Regards,
Nancy (Eaton) Edwards

Amy as you mentioned it is hard to read. It very well could be a K with the difficulty in the reading I probably just misread it. I don't have any other source stating the Company.

RE: Col. Melzar Gene Lamar
He was one of the Missing in America burials apparently he sat in a funeral home unclaimed for a while and was buried in Quantico in 2013 with about 34 other burials I attended the ceremony. It was a real big show with a motorcycle escort from Virginia Beach and all branches of military. Sue would be able to tell you more for she is a volunteer for the Missing In America Project. I have pictures of the event if you like copies let me know.

Yes, please use the photos. If you need better resolution for your collection of family photos please e-mail me and I will send them in tiff format. Sybil Bishop Stoddard was my gr gr grandma Henrietta Bishop Culver's sister. The photos were in one of Grandma Henrietta's little family albums and her granddaughter, my grandaunt Halo, kindly labeled them for us long ago.

Yours,
Bailey

Mary Potts White
Hi,
If Mary is in your tree.... I'm wondering if you might have some insight into these two memorials:
Mary Potts White 87533668
Mary J White 15969958

My daughter and I spent a long time trying to read the stone - went back a few times to catch it in the right light.

Do you have any clue as to how they are related? There must be a connection since the stone is shared. I'm not related and I don't think the managers are either, but I am curious! I'd like to eventually see little Mary linked to her parents.
Thanks, Chris

RE: Langan/Haff
All I know, he was born in Chicago and a lineman for the QB&C railroad at the time he was married to Louise Buttner. As far as his siblings I have not gotten that far in my search. I have yet to locate John Thomas Langan's parents. Are you using Family Search dot org? Do you have another source? This can get confusing.
