Linnie Medlock Caldwell
John Medlock was my 2nd ggrandfather. My 2nd ggrandfather Basil McCord married Martha Ann Gambrell after his 1st wife Mary Ann Ware died and John Medlock died. They had no children together. Martha Ann's daughter Mary Elizabeth Medlock married her step brother, William Norman McCord; they had 9 children including my grandfather Sim Basil McCord. I am also related to Sam Caldwell on my mother's side.
I don't have a death date or place for Linnie, do you?
regards to your wife, my cousin!

Hi it's interesting to see that you are researching some of the same lines I have worked on for several years. Estes, Young, Repult, which the Estes and Repult have ties to the Young family. Are you related to these? Sincerely, Janice Young Cross

Apparently, nothing. I had been finding names entered in the wrong spaces, like last name in the maiden name field. This one looks fine.

RE: Henry Ruff, Jr.
Henry was related to our Ruffs who lived in Attala and Knox City, MS if my records are correct. Cousins, I think for George Hilburn and his son my gggrandfather Thomas F. Ruff who was born in Knox City, MS and settled in Bienville Parish, LA.

Would you believe that I went back to Five Mile Cemetery and found the stone for William Hawthorn? I'll post it to the memorial as soon as I can do some editing.

You're very welcome. Going to a cemetery to take photos was a relaxing endeavor after a very busy Easter weekend. Sorry I could not find the eighth grave.

RE: Baley Family
The City of Wichita Falls listing shows this person listed as MRS. Marion Baley. Could be a typo, I don't know for sure. I will get back out to the cemetery when it warms up and see if I can find this person somewhere. The city doesn't show a space # for Marion at all.

RE: Baley Family
That's very strange, I sent it to It might have gone to your spam folder. It said:

I was able to fill all of the Baley's except for Marion? Is this a female?

I photographed the entire cemetery back in 2006. My only thought is that if Marion is a female she might have been on the backside of W.W. Baley's headstone and I missed it. Are they possibly husband and wife? When it warms up again, I will go out there and see if this is the case. Julie

Also, Don's mother is a Gilbert and comes from a long line of Gilberts in America who immigrated in the late 1600's.
