Glenda....YOU'RE SO SWEET!!!!!! Thank You for your thoughtful message. Lookin' back, twenty years has sure gone by fast, Doug and I dated seven years, sure was scary to pull up roots from the only life I had known in Arkansas, and move to the Kansas prairie...turns out, it was the right choice! The "best" years of my life was growing up at home, and the years with Doug....the time in between, I don't really remember! :o)

I know you are so very busy with your home remodeling and grandson too....wow, taking care of cattle is easy, wanta move to the prairie???

How very "blessed" I am to have you as a friend, I truly mean that with all my heart!

Dear Glenda,
It is snowing here in Minnesota. It has been snowing for 3 days. Florida was so brown I am glad your getting some rain. It is shocking because even Minnesota has seasons. We have Robins hop-ing around with confused looks on their beaks. My furnace is running full out today. Burrrrr....

Dearest Glenda....it is always truly an honor to visit your precious Memorial's! Please know we appreciate your visits to our Memorial's so much too.

Bless your heart, I don't know how you do all that work, I would have things in a real mess if I tried remodeling...you are a very special gal!!

Doug and I went to the Farm Show in Oklahoma City yesterday...the weather was sunny and very pleasent, we always enjoy going to the Stockyards while we are there, having lunch at the Cattlemen's Steakhouse, the Stockyards is a great place to shop for anything Western. We use to spend the night...guess we're gettin' old, we like being home every night if possible. After we got home last night, around 9:00pm we heard a loud truck going down the dirt road just east of our cattle pens to the place our friends farm, no one lives there but there is a big barn, he has cattle and all kinds of farm equipment. I guess Doug and I were both a little uneasy about it...it's on a dead-end road, no one should even be down there...but now and then someone will get on the wrong road, we can see most everything but where the barn sits, we watched the truck turn up the driveway, he act like he knew where he was going....turns out whoever it was stole their 4-Wheeler, six batteries, gas out of all their farm vehicles...didn't bother their tractor, I can see the tractor clearly from my kitchen window, we were just heart sick about it...we could tell it was an older truck and very loud. If this happens again we will call Reed, make sure it isn't him and go check things out ourselves...with a gun in the middle of the seat!!!

Oh Glenda, I was most honored to feature your father's birthday on my page; never any need for thanks. I know he's so proud of his little girl.

Hopefully, I can get my few minor home repairs done really soon. Nothing major this year. Last year was repairing my back porch. I must say that the gentleman who did it did a magnificent job. It's bigger and so much more prettier than the original! Good luck with all your labors and endeavors!

I'm very frightened about the results of my mammogram due to the female cancer history of my mother's family. Plus, I'd had a really bad scare in my late 20s and early 30s, but the surgeon had thought he got it all. I never had any problems until now. This is the first abnormality to show up in 30 years. I deeply appreciate your words of comfort and encouragement.

Thanks for your love and support during this difficult time in my life. I value our friendship! ❤

WE HAD SOME NICE WARM WEATHER FOR A WHILE, AND THEN HERE COMES THIS COLD RAIN. IT'S BEEN IN THE LOW THIRTIES ALL DAY, BUT HOPEFULLY IT'LL GET WARMER. PAT'S ABOUT THE SAME AS WHEN WE TALKED LAST.THEY WERE STARTING TO TEACH HER THE ABC'S AND HER NUMBERS THIS WEEK.THIS PERSON WAS VICE PRESIDENT OF HER COMPANY, AND NOW DOESN'T KNOW HER ABC'S. IT IS SO SAD. BUT I KNOW GOD WILL WORK OUT WHAT'S BEST FOR HER. PLEASE KEEP PRAYING FOR HER. SORRY YOU'RE HAVING TO WORK SO HARD RIGHT NOW, BUT WHEN YOU GET DONE YOU'LL HAVE A PRETTY HOUSE. Good Morning Sweet Glenda, Doug and I would love to have some of your sunshine and warmth up our way, we just shouldn't still be wearin' longjohns after spring! Boy howdy, it's cold this morning on the prairie, the wind is blowing a gale straight out of the east...cattle are all behind their windbreaks.

Home repairs is hard work, I know you are a perfectionist and things will look perfect when you are finished. It's wonderful that you can do so much yourself, hiring people that still take pride in the work they do, is hard to find. When we built our ranch home 12 years ago, we hired who was suppose to be the best builders in our area...we bought a fifth wheel trailer, park it infront of the barn office to live in, it took 6 months to complete our house, we had a few head butts with the builder before it was finished, we were afraid to leave for a second....hope we NEVER have to build again, it was that bad!

March 4, 2013 I took Toffee to the vet because she had lost the use of her back legs, but nothing showed up in the MRI, urinalysis, bloodwork, etc. Saturday morning, March 9, she had a ischemic stroke, so obviously, something neurologically was going on that flew under the radar screen. I've kept her as comfortable as possible, turning her numerous times a day, massaging her legs, and making sure she's dry so she wouldn't get bed sores and urine burns. She's lost the head tilt that she developed after the stroke, eats well, and responds to all my loving. She's truly a little trooper!
