I am in Pilgrims Rest Cem placing pictures and doing edits to try to get this cem up to date
and Correct.

You have placed a stone pic on this person

Mr Mike the owner of your person Has your person in the wrong Cem

Your picture should be placed in the East Bernstadt Pilgrims Rest Cem, not in (Black Water) Pilgrims Rest.

Please see if you can get your person in the correct place.

I have done recent research which indicates that Peyton likely is of the Pittsylvania CO., VA Herrings. I'm looking for a Herring researcher to share my information with so that we can assist each other. Thanks.

Alma Herrin
I only took the information from her death certificate, which are notoriously wrong about half the time. LOL.
I have no problem changing it. Nor do I have a problem transferring Alma to you. I am not related. Only transcribing the cemetery.

RE: my Waggoner kin
Hi-thanks so much for replying. I was confused by the way you spelled Wagner- as that is the German spelling. The Waggoner family from which I come were English. However, that certainly does not mean we are not related.I notice that the pics I put with the memorial on Find a Grave cannot be shown- not even to me. I suspect whoever is kindly taking care of the graves felt it not the right place for me to post such old pics. My flowers are still there. It would be very nice to share info and pics-I am on regular FB under Charlotte Waggoner Block. If you would like to friend me-would be VERY nice- I could send you pics and exchange info in a private message or could send you my regular email address. On the Blackwell Cemetery in Oklahoma there is another large Waggoner family NOT related to me. I am careful not to confuse anybody. I only post pics and put flowers where I am definitely related. You know how it is in the INTERNET. By the way, I am 70 and live in Germany-but that is because my husband was German. One reason I am so grateful for the kind persons who look after the graves on Find A Grave, is at a distance I can pay my respects. Charlotte

my Waggoner kin
In a previous message I referred to the Waggoner cemetery- I meant the one in Martinsburg, Pike Co,Illinois. My great-granddad Charles Marion Waggoner came from there originally before he went to Kansas and then Oklahoma. He is buried in Blackwell, Okla. Wondering how you are related to my Waggoner kin. Thanks.

my Waggoner kin
For info-just want to add that my Charles Marion Waggoner was the son of David Daniel Waggoner from his 1st marriage to Amanda S Foster. His siblings were Lucinda Jane Waggoner, (then Charles Marion), Mary W., Martha W., Nancy Eva A W. and finally George W. I can provide their birth dates-

Lucinda Jane Waggoner married a York and I noticed- although she and her husband are buried on Waggoner Cemetery, her son Charles Everett also went to Oklahoma-I am now trying to figure out where all the kids from David Daniel Waggoner's 1st marriage to Amanda S Foster went and where they were buried. Anybody know?

my Waggoner kin
Hi, I see you also have kin from the Waggoner family. My connection is through one great-grandfather Charles Marion Waggoner. I have the proper records and am absolutely sure. I have heard the cemetery is quite over-grown. I am living in Germany. I am the widow of a German. Am still US citizen. I also have pics- if you are interested, I would be very willing to share any info.My great-grandfather Charles Marion left Martinsburg on 22nd September 1884 for Burden Kansas-later made the Land Run of 1893 into Oklahoma- I myself am 70 and even met kin from the York family buried there in Martinsburg.. Well, if interest exists, just contact me. Charlotte Waggoner Block (I was born in Alva, Oklahoma in 1942

Elizabeth Heron
Janet, I noticed that you left a marker for both James Stillwater(Strongwaters)Clardy and Elizabeth C. (Herron) Clardy.
They are my Great Great Grandparents. I have posted a picture of their headstones on this site as well as James's Father and Mother's headstone. Philip and Polly Clardy's headstones are hard to read now. The have a long row of children buried down a line from their graves. They lost quite a few young children. I also have been told that she was the main mid wife in that area during her life. I have pictures of most of the Clardy family headstones in this cememtery. I know more about the Clardy line than the Herrons. I do have her parents names and where they came from prior to moving to southern IL.
I would be interested in speaking with you concerning the Herron family line. There is another Herron couple buried in this Cemetery. I am not sure how they are related but it might be Elizabeth's younger brother and his wife.
I hope you will contact me soon. My email addy is
Thank you, Tom Reilly
