RE: Hi
Hi Gail,

James Lazzell's Union war records scanned and emailed to you tomorrow. Let's keep in touch.

I meant your Great Grandma Wideman, Emma Klein Wideman.

Fritz Klein
Was Fritz your Grandma Wideman's brother? I found his wife anyway: Catherine "Lutie" Kincaid Klein. I bet he is there with her. You could make his memorial and then ask for a photo. Word of warning, photos at Shelbina take forever. I don't think they have volunteers down there.

I see you went ahead and posted the photos. I took down the one of mine that was similar. Your shot is clearer. I liked the marker down in North Carolina too. They must have been Episcopalian as it mentioned that in the son's obit. Hope the links get done somewhat soon.

Gass Family
I think this was your Grandma Fern's first cousin. Says he was killed in action at Iwo Jima.

Do you know where his parents are? Jewell Elmo, Sr. and his wife Bertha? They are the only one not linked up to the family I think.

Hi Gail,
Nice to hear from a distant cousin. I'm related to the family through Sam's wife, Mary Pearson. I have spent many hours researching, trying to learn more about their children and trying to link the family.

Sure wish I could find some old photos.

Charles Kelley
On Ancestry "San Francisco Bay Area Funeral Records" is a record for Charles Kelley. Born 1860 died 3/16/1840. Buried 3/18/1840. Wife Elizabeth Kelley. I am not related.

I add the stone from their plot in the oldest part of the cemetery. the is only the family plot marker, no individual stone per the caretaker. many of the oldest stones are gone now.

Edward Courtney
Edward's name is still on the request list. There is a picture of Calvary Cemetery but not of the specific area where Edward was buried. I think I told you there is no stone for his area. We checked it a few times. Do you wish to leave it on there? Thanks. Jennye

RE: Fanny Lear Thrasher
That very well could be. For now I'm going to leave it like it is with the note about the marriage in her bio and changing her name to show Thrasher as her last name and Lear as maiden name. I imagine she may have went by Thrasher or it would be on the stone.

Fanny Lear Thrasher
I just sent you an email about this lady but now here is an update. I just looked at the picture of her stone again and it does say on there "wife of Elias Thrasher" so he must have been an ok guy. :) I changed her name to show Lear as maiden and Thrasher as her married name.

Mary Kelley
I've added the links for the Kelley family. If you look at Mary Kelley's memorial, you'll find all of the burials in that lot linked to her. I haven't been able to verify for certain that Elizabeth was their daughter or that Paul had a twin that died in infancy, so they are just temporarily linked for your convenience unless you or someone else confirm their relationship and let me know soon.

Let me know what you think of the photo I provided... I wasn't quite sure if it was an appropriate way to fill a request for an unmarked gravesite.

The markers that you can see are there for that plot are George Smoot; Maggie Smoot; Robert and Clara Shults; and William and Susan Bell. The one in the foreground is Elizabeth Bross in the next plot.

Gail...sorry I haven't gotten that picture yet. After 3 weeks of planning with St. Pius Parrish I will hopefully be able to take a pic next Wednesday the 16th. We are expecting a big snowstorm today (10th) and we expect the snow will subside by then.

RE: photo request fill
I'm still in the middle adding some photos and new memorials for Bethany Baptist. Check back in about 1/2 an hour, I have several more Swishers to add, and maybe some more Dinwiddies. Also, if you know maiden names and family links on the new memorials I add, be sure to let me know.
