MORE Greer
But if I transfer the other Isaac Hamilton Greer to you, then you'll have both and can prove duplicates, therefore they should delete the newest.......................think that'll work?

Hi Ann Maree,
I'd be happy to ALL the memorials you would like to maintain. Would just appreciate if you would do it though the edit tab or send me a list of names and their corresponding memorial #, so I make sure to get them all. As I recall, you have some very interesting history in your Greer line. My connection is through Ella I (nee: Clinton) Greer, a first cousin, 3x removed. I'm not sure about Billie's "unknown burial" memorial - maybe try writing her again after I transfer the memorial you want....and the dust settles ;) Hope is solves at least some of the mix-up.
PS if you know who Lorena M or Leona Greer married would love to know her husband name.

Wiliam Henry Short
Ann, When you get time if you can will you take a picture of the stone on William Henry Short grave. His #118057382 he is buried at Evergreen Cemetery at Makanda. William was married to Nancy Maria Dawson Hurst who is the mother of my grandfather's brother. I am in the process of trying to locate where Nancy maria Dawson Hurst Short is buried. Any info you may have would be appreciated. I am GLAD to finally locate Mr. William Henry Short's grave. I left a message on find a grave but it doesn't seem to have been picked up. Thank you for any help you can give me. Alice

I photographed all of the stones there (Todd Whiteside had already done Benjamin Bertrams). I added Hoyer, Steinert and your Bertrams requests.

I agree that the Minnesota stone is too old for 1928, however, it wouldn't be impossible for someone to have two markers when buried away from the family. I have seen this before.

Without seeing the Minnesota stone in person, we can't tell if it is a family stone where he could have been added in 1928.

RE: Acaetia Holly
This is fascinating information. I have been to the Cobden Cemetery and Oakland Cemetery and seen the graves of my father, grandparents, and uncles and my great grandfather and his second wife. I didn't notice that the grave markers were similar in style. You are very observant. Census records verify my great grandmother's name was Lucretia Ann Worthen Holly. Perhaps Acretia was some sort of Irish pronunciation of Lucretia. Or maybe just a misspelling. I look forward to any other information that you may find.
Thank you so much.

Logan B
RE: Knup
It is located just south of Anna, IL. Boyd Rd heads south out of town and on the right side is Knupp School Ln. Knupp School Ln has a tall tower located on the tallest hill. It is visible for miles around. There is a gated access road for the tower and the cemetery is due east of the tower about 200 yards. You must use the road to get to the cemetery but will require a little a hike if the gate is closed.

Acaetia Holly
You have submitted a picture of a stone marker in Woodlawn Cemetery identifying Acaetia Holly grave that indicates her life from 1848-1872. The Cemetery is in Carbondale, IL. This person seems very close to my great grandmother, Lucretia Ann Worthen Holly, 1849 - 1872. Do you think this is one and the same person? The stone looks new. Is it?

Any information that you can give me about this grave would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Patricia O'Leary

Christopher Presson
Thank you for letting me, as well as the person who created the memorial, know that Christopher Presson's memorial is not located in the correct cemetery. Thank you also for attempting to locate it to photograph the monument. I appreciate the work that you do for Find A Grave. Patricia

RE: Photo requests
Thank you so much for all your work and the photos. It does not surprise me that Pete does not have a marker. All of these folks were my grandmother's parents and sisters. Finding them here was a pleasant surprise and now having photos of their markers is even better. I hope to pay them a visit once the weather has cooled off a bit. Now I know what to look for. Are they all pretty much together or will I need to wander all over the place? Again, can't thank you enough.

Ann - I really appreciate this photo. Delores was a classmate of my sister. Her death was totally unnecessary.
