|Mcbraun||RE: Maria Catherine Evans|
You are very welcome. She was also my G-G-Grandmother which I did not realize for some time. As I stood there, I was just in awe of her. I expected an old marker of some sort since she was visiting when she died and the headstone was beautiful. As I look at the records of marriage, among others, I am going to have to go with 'Mariah' though. I also noticed that Susie O'Hair, her granddaughter had named one of her girls Mariah - coincidence? or named after her grandmother? The questions never end, do they?

|Verna Medlin||Correct spelling of name|
This info is added for those who need exact spelling for genealogy research.
Aunt Rocky's name was spelled with a Y not ie. Her full name at birth was: Rocky Perl Medlin. Her brother (my father) gave me that info. He said she always hated that it was spelled with a Y instead of ie.

Sorry about the delay, but my creeping crud turned into pneumonia and now there is snow on the ground. I am not pushing myself either, still getting my strength back. Just thought I would give you an update on why it is taking so long.

I will get out there and see what I can find, but I came down with the creeping crud yesterday and it is going to be a few days before I feel like doing anything. I just had 3 weeks of this the day before Thanksgiving. I was just back to normal this week and now.........Well it's a great life if you don't weaken. ~~laugh~~

|Rita Collvins Mayfield||Poor family in Lawnview|
I added the information for Joseph Franklin and made the links to Joseph and Lida. I also linked them to the other three children that are also buried in Lawnview. I noticed that you had Emma's husband's memorial and a family connection to the Medlins, so I also transferred Emma to you.

|Pat Williamson||Larkin M. Dendy|
Cassie Parmer and William Milton Dendy were my great grandparents. My father's Aunt Stella Ragsdale had written a family history for him which told of Larkin coming to Texas and his marriage to Elizabeth Box, but at that time, no one knew where Larkin was buried or his daughter Sarah. I am almost sure that Sarah is the Elizabeth shown on the census of 1870. His wife, Elizabeth is thought to be buried in Cherokee County. Thank you for showing the pictures of the headstones so that our family can all share in the thrill of them being found.

|robin pellicci moore||Christopher Orr dates|
Thank you very much for the edit you sent for the dates on Christopher's stone. I have no clue how I made that mistake, I even had the photo of his stone in files but I had incorrect dates there too!
Thought I'd also let you know that I added the obits for 2 of his siblings after I received your email (I couldn't find Chritopher's). There's a short one for Mary Marshall Orr Earle, and a VERY long one for Dr Samuel Orr.

|Michael Harrington||Major Merida Green Ellis, Sr.|
I am related to Maj Merida Green Ellis, Sr for whom you created memorial # 19011486. I have been trying to find support for the Civil War record you reference for him and have not been able to do so. I just wondered if you can help me with the source for your brief bio on this memorial? The book Sons of the Republic of Texas calls him "the Father of Fort Worth." Any help you can provide will be appreciated.
Dear Mr. Medlin,
Thank you so much for writing. I gleaned all the infomation on your relative from a book called "Pioneers Rest Cemetery" published by the Fort Worth Genealogical Society. I hope this helps.
