RE: Harmony Cemetery Neshoba County MS
No I did not go but I am sure I will when it cools off. I was not actually looking for any of my relatives but I had a photo request from someone else that has a relative in that cemetery. I try to complete as many request as I can when I can.

RE: Harmony Cemetery Neshoba County MS
Thanks John for your reply. I did venture out on my journey to find this cemetery a few months back while it was still cool out. I did find the cemetery! Boy, is it ever off the beaten path. Actually only a few miles from where I live but definitely deep in the forest. I did not find the grave I was looking for sadly. I did see where there were a lot of unmarked graves and broken and/or destroyed headstones in the old cemetery so its very possible the person I was looking for is a "resident" there and is in one of the unmarked spots. Sadly, I left, my mission unaccomplished but thoroughly enjoyed my time there as it is very old and with what I feel a lot of history. Thanks!

Hi John. I see where you took pictures of the Harmony Cemetery in the House community of Neshoba county. My question is, Did you take pictures of all headstones in cemetery? I have a request for a Robert Neese in that cemetery and was wondering if it is accessible since you say its on forest land. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

RE: Edward Grant Fortner
Edward Grant Fortner and Eva Gardner Fotner were the parents of James, Evelyn and Thelma.

I have all the info on Evelyn and her descendents. I have your email address I believe, and I can send it to you privately.

Edward Grant Fortner
Is there by any chance a connection between the Edward Grant Fortner that was married to Eva Fortner ( )

and the husband/wife duo of William Martin Fortner and Martha Riser? Was this same Edward Grant their youngest son (born around 1888)?

Allen (husband of Edward/Eva's great-great granddaughter)

Re: The Boozer family
John, I think you are right. Deloris Sanders had it as Vinzant also.

There is another son that should be added:

Please link James W. Boozer # 60546620 to his father D. (Drayton) A.(Augusta) Boozer # 60546616 and his mother, Elizabeth Vinzant Boozer # 60546617.

James was known as "Bud" Boozer back in the days when he was driving a school bus to Pulaski.

Mary Lee Boozer was principal at Morton High School when I was a student there.

RE: Lenora Warren
Thanks, John. I knew of many of those buried in Luther Chapel Cemetery of Scott Co. and have some kin there. However, much of my information is taken from The Varner Family book by Kevin Davis and the Scott Co. Cemetery disc by Deloris Pickering Sanders. Her information includes William Diggs, the father of Lenora Diggs Warren but the death certificate she includes shows he was buried at New Chapel Cemetery, and that is where his family had a home-made marker for many years, I think your technique of using photos is more precise,

Thanks again.

RE: William Alexander Daniel
Your very welcome for your family's pic. This is something that we have turned into a family afair.
I was stationed at Ft Hood located in Killeen while I was stationed in Texas. It's about an hour outside of Waco, if that. I loved getting to travel all over while I was there. I am now stationed back on the easy coast in Virginia at Ft Eustis about six hours from my home town. With retirement close at hand it gives me a chance to settle back into the civilian groove. What did you do in the Army? When were you in?

Asa Jefferson Mayo/Manoah Mayo

My mother and I are researching the Mayo line as I am a descendant of Manoah Mayo, he was my 4x great grandfather. His son Randolph (Asa Jefferson Mayo's brother) is my 3x great grandfather. I would be interested in learning if you have any additional information on that line.

Thank you, Diana

Thank you very much for that great photo of John's marker. All these FindaGrave volunteers keep helping out and adding to our family history. In fact, along with your email just now, I got 3 more requests for photos; I'll claim all 3.
I was only in Louisiana once; about 1961 or 1962 at England AFB for a firepower demonstration. It was hot and humid but we got it done. I hope you picked a relatively cool time to go take this photo.
