RE: Thank You
You're welcome and I'm very happy to help. Please let me know if you want any more photos that I took today of Churchill graves. I took several. Winston Churchill, our prime minister, had several flowers laid at his grave, it was very moving. Thanks.

Grandma Patti
Minerva Jones Young
No relation. I was just at the Dayton Public Library doing research on my tree and I thought while I'm seeing these other obits I would copy, scan and post to findagrave for other people who have not found their obits. Grandma Patti

I thought she might be a part of your family tree. I guess you have posted her so that others can find her. Have a great April! Grandma Patti

Rich Lowe
Margaret Gillespie Edgar
Would you happen to know who the parents were of Margaret Gillespie Edgar # 82713013? Looking for a James Gillespie d. 1840 and wife Mary Johnson Gillespie. There is apparently a James Gillespie of Rev. War in same cemetery as your Margaret Gillespie Edgar.

Edgar's in Woodland
The photo I posted was for the location of Sec 57 Lot 43. There where no stones on this plot except for one unreadable (except could make out Rev.) one under the big bush in background

RE: Edgar Photos

You are welcome, because of the pink coloring of the stone the writing is a little difficult to read. I tired different angles to see which would get the best shot to bring the writing out on the stones. I will get the Edgars in Section 57 soon. I know where they are located. Those Edgars were transfered from another cemetery to Woodland.

By the way there are some Dahle's that are located with the Gebharts same stones looks like they are related. There are two of them Marianna and William. wasn't sure if you were interested in them or not.

RE: Samuel Edgar
Hi Larry,

Thank you and I did notice most of the headstones around that lot were the same shape and style. So I figured they were all related in some way. They took up the whole corner of that lot. If you still need a photo of anyone on that corner let me know and I can get it for you.

RE: Samuel Edgar

I just wanted to let you know that I posted the huge standup of the Edgar monument. I wanted to get it all in and you can read the front it says S.D. Edgar and underneath it there is the name Hermann.

RE: Samuel Edgar

You are welcome and yes there was a large Standup marker it had another name on it besides Edgar surname. I don't recall the other surname on the marker. It is easy to locate and if you want it I can get it for you and add it the next time I am at Woodland which should be in the next week.

Second I don't have the photo enhancer, I too noticed the writing difficult on the actual stone and took a couple of pictures to try and get a good image for you. I will be more than happy to send you the photo to your private email.

Edgar Family Stones
You are quite welcome. Those stones are not holding up to the weather very well. Sorry about that. Shirley

The memorial book that I referenced is found at the Piqua Public Library. It contains a listing of all interments at Johnston Cemetery.

It appears to me as 79 years 8 months 8 days.

However, the memorial book lists it as 79 years 8 months and 18 days. I can't see 1 at all for the & symbol.

Mary Janey
Larry, I removed the unreadable stone photo I attached to Mary. I was able to turn it over today and it was Berthold L Keown. Mary does not have a stone.

Larry, spoke with Barb today and we worked on your family requests. I've loaded the plot photo to everyone in the Tenney-Decker-Borah-Haney plot along with GPS coordinates. I also created a memorial page for Tenney May Decker and transfered ownership to you. I have also sent an email with a photo confirming the death date of Loren Tenney.

RE: Loren Tenney
I don't recall Larry. Elmwood is very well kept so I didn't have my usual cemetery "tools" but I'll run back this week, uncover it, check the date and re-photo.

RE: Elmwood
Glad I could help Larry. If you need anything else from Elmwood just give a shout and I'll do what I can to help.

Added by Chad on Aug 31, 2011 7:18 AM

ltenney1, went by Elmwood today. Talked to Barb and she said you had called. At least I assumed it was you. :) There was no stone for Hosea but I photo'd his gravesite and Loren's stone. I'll upload the pictures along with the lot location and GPS coordnates later tonight.

RE: Burial Plots of H. E. Tenney and his infant son Loren B. Tenney
You are in very good hands. Pat Stedlin, Barbara, Bill, Jim and Levi are some of the best. This is a wonderful old cemetery and many of us here in Centralia love it.

Good luck in your search.
