Thanks for the record you sent me. Our family greatly appreciated seeing this. She was my great-grand aunt and seemed to be a remarkable woman.

I recently walked the whole cemetery and photographed all the stones. There is a memorial for the one you are looking for but there must have not been a headstone. I think all the Hackers are buried together. Here is the memorial # for the one you are looking for. 120065765
It took me several months to do it also.

Is buried at Calvary Cemetery.. born Oct 20, 1893 and died Dec 26, 1893 son of B. and Elizabeth Deitermann. Wondering if you could add ? and verify. I have an old letter saying that someone saw this headstone in the 80's. Trying to figure out how this is.. Not sure of baby or the parents. I am a Deitermann. My families lived in the area.
Any help would be appreciated. Mona

Thank you for the photo and yes, I've seen it before. The handwriting on the back looks like my grandmother's (Anna Mae Veitenheimer), which is very possible since Mary would be her grandmother.

May I ask where you got the information for Maria Ann Koerner's maiden name? If this is the correct Maria Anna, I am a descendent of her parents, and I have been searching for proof that she did indeed marry Christopher Koerner, come over here from Germany in 1868 with her 4 children (one was Andrew, listed as Andreas on the ship's passenger list), live in DuQuoin, Illinois, for a while, and die before her husband and some of their children moved to Texas. Do you know why she was buried in Teutopolis (where several of her family lived), and not down in DuQuoin, where a few of her children stayed?
My e-mail address is firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks in advance for all your help!!

Adds made! No, I'm not a relation but my gt grandparents (Pete & Mary Schaul) as well as grandparents (Jack & Ann Hammond) would have known her well. The prayer card with her picture I found in my great aunt Sophie Schaul Miller's papers and I thought it should be put up on here memorial just in case descendents didn't have a photo of her.

PS - Usually inactive members will still let you send the edit request, so I wrote Find A Grave about the disabled account. I will make sure the links are made, thanks for bringing them to my attention. I did add it to the bio until it is done.

First, I am always happy to add ANY tiny piece of information, unlike the user commenting on your board below! Good golly! It only makes memorials more detailed, provides more proof, helps the more novice researcher, etc...
You mentioned an inactive user, just wanted to make sure that you were aware I think that the users that are marked inactive, the edit requests seem like they are going straight to find a grave customer service now as edits I send to inactive users are getting processed. Also, if it doesn't get processed after 30 days you can always forward it to find a grave customer service and they will help to process the edit. Just an FYI.
Anyway, I appreciate what you do. I am now in the process of going through all my memorials and trying to add lots more info, like the great census records, etc... I entered Valley View when I first started on here. Some of my family was buried there, so I tried to enter the whole list of burials but didn't add much else. I still have a ton to go back through and update. So keep sending those edit requests. Am happy to get them!
PS - My grandmother was named Rosebud so I am always happy to see your name!

I have received MUCH misinformation from well intended researchers on Find a Grave to memorials for people to whom they are not related. And to my way of thinking repeating such information as found in the census such as their name and age in the bio several times and age at time of death is superfluous as the dates are already on the memorial.
Didn't mean to offend you, but redoing information on a memorial three or four times and finding it is incorrect is not really productive.

I have linked as requested. I really don't think all the census information is appropriate or necessary on this site as this site is called Find a Grave, not Ancestry or detailed family history. It is to locate where a loved one is buried and after you have that information, you can go to the web and find the census information, etc. BUT I have added the children in US census on Madgelene's memorial under bio as requested.
Best wishes, High Plains :)
