Interesting. The parents must have had her moved to Valley View at a later date, because I don't think that cemetery even existed until the mid '50s. Thanks for the transfer.

|L. Finley||RE: Moriyama edits- Price City Cemetery|
Wattis, as well as several other 'camp' towns were still active towns when I was growing up. My ex-husband lived in Hiawatha until he was about 10. It was sad to see the coal companies basically just obliterate these towns. We used to pick pine nuts off the pinion trees up near Wattis each year :)
Have a great weekend,

|L. Finley||Moriyama edits- Price City Cemetery|
Thanks for all the info and edits for the Moriyama's in Price City Cemetery, I always appreciate all your help in documenting the Japanese families :)
Just to let you know, I know Spring Canyon (Rains, Latuda, Storrs etc) VERY well :) My great-grandfather, George Storrs, opened up the first mine/town there for Jesse Knight, which was then named Storrs in his honor. Then my father owned a good part of Spring Canyon for most of my lifetime. As a little girl, I remember going into the remaining homes that were still standing in some of the camps, and Standardville/Storrs, still had a number of people living there when I was a teenager :)
Take care, and enjoy the holiday weekend!

Thank you Brenda.
I have sent a message of correction on to #89587212. (Laurie Reeves).
I don't know if we are distantly related or not.

Emma Eliza Thorogood Locke was my great-grandfather's younger sister. I don't know who Philip L. Thorogood is. Her father was Philip Smih Thorogood and her mother was Sarah Jones Thorogood, they are buried near Emma Locke but I think they are in unmarked graves. Sarah died in 1889 and Philip S. Thorogood died in 1890.
My great grandfather was Thomas John Thorogood, born in 1860 and died in 1913. He is buried in Bryn Mawr, Lower Merion Twp., Pennsylvania.

|M. C. Best - Willie||Transferring the Strongs would be great.|
Transferring the Strongs would be great. We have a Strong Family Organization.
Florie Fullmer (#47603521) or myself Michelle Claire Best Willie (#48206502) both work on Strong genealogy.
I will take all the Bests you will give me. Best is my maiden name and I know all about my Grandpa Brothers and Sisters. Florie does not know how to use findgrave very well you could send all the Strongs to me, if you want.

Sorry, I wasn't as careful as I should have been concerning the obituary source.
The obituary for Arthur William Salt, # 143734006, was published in the Deseret News on November 10, 1993 and in the Salt Lake Tribune on November 11, 1993.
Here's the link to the obituary I found: http://www.deseretnews.com/article/319908/DEATH--ARTHUR-WILLIAM-SALT.html?pg=all.
The information I gave you earlier was for Arthur William's son, whose name is Ronald Arthur.
Sorry for the mixup.

Thank you so much! Your timing is amazing. I had been looking for proof of where she was buried for a few years. I finally found the death record index that led me to where she was buried. I need to find an actual document now to prove the correct spelling of her name so they will change it officially at the cemetery. The SLC cemetery did check to see if she had a headstone and she doesn't. I don't live in Utah, but I am heading there for my daughter's graduation in two weeks, so I am going to the cemetery to visit her and several other relatives buried there.

Just curious - why did you duplicate my photo? If you read the rules it states you should not duplicate photo's unless the original is difficult to read. This is not the case with my photo. Like I said - just curious.

You are welcome, glad I could help. I remember sending edits where the family relationships and links could be pictured as cooked spaghetti, really complicated, and I was not sure I had it right as I rapped it up.
Added by MS1958 on Mar 23, 2015 10:29 PM
Not sure which portions of your edits I should ignore? I understand you meant all or part of the edit for her daughter.
It is easy to remove your own edit submits within you edit screen, or let me know what to do. Thanks, mike

|Shirley Farrell||RE: Thanks|
Thanks for the info about the Higgs family, I have not found any in Salt Lake area, but I will check it out. I did not think I had any Tidwell's family there either, but Thomas Tidwell became a Mormon and traveled from Illinois, to Iowa and then on to Salt Lake Valley. That led me to Mary Brady and many other Tidwell families. Thanks again for the info and your help in this endeavor.

Thanks for the attempt to find Mary Adelia Tidwell Brady's headstone, sorry it was such a hassle. Thanks again.

I appreciate the effort you put into searching for her marker. Really appreciate what you did come up with. I will see what else I can find out. Thanks again for what you did. Jack
