How the heck did you end up here? And thank you for doing what you do. I just found the grave of Peter Lingenfelter about my 5th great grandfather. I am new to genealogy and do so appreciate what you and others like you do. Thank you.

Oh my gosh! THANKS SO MUCH! I probably never would have seen it otherwise! I'm not sure if I mentioned this previously but I am in contact with his granddaughter whom I found last year. She will love to see this. If you ever need anything from Virginia, please let me know. I'd love to repay the favor. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

You have done a great job and I certainly appreciate the work you have done and your willingness to share it with us. I do not think I would have noticed, if I had not picked up the memorial for "Lydia" first.

|Teresa L. Watson||RE: Amy Altman|
I called Mother right after I sent that message to you this morning, and she was thrilled. She couldn't believe it when I told her Charles was buried in Marlin! In fact, I only live about an hour or two from there. We are still trying to figure out how the heck Charles ended up buried in Marlin.
A lot of the Altman's are in the Lubbock area, where Amy is buried. In fact there are some of her husband's children still alive and living in the Memphis, Texas area. Amy's son, Charlie, is my grandfather. His wife is still alive (she's 93), and I will be seeing her in three weeks. I can't wait to tell her what we've found, although she probably won't remember much of it.
I will take a look at the tree this weekend, I hope. I'm swamped with work (I'm a writer and freelance editor), but I am dying to check it out, so I'm sure I'll get to it very soon! Let me know if there is anything I can tell you about the Altman's.

OMG, this is FANTASTIC! I am been trying to find information on Amy's family for a LONG time! My mother & grandmother are going to be so thrilled! Is there any information that I can provide you, or anything you can tell me, about her parents, siblings, grandparents, etc.?
If you are wondering about my connection to Amy, her son, Charlie, is my grandfather.

I'm very curious about your history and I'm hoping you won't mind telling me a bit more. Please feel free to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I look forward to hearing from you!

Thanks for the photo -(I have one from a different angle but had neglected to upload it!) I spent many hours in Ebenezer Cemetery in September when I was home visiting my dad. He has bought a plot there for his eventual rest. And I added all the links.

You know all of these are pretty far out on my tree and I put them out there more to get a better picture of who was who with all the links and such. If you want any of these transferred to you, I'd be more than happy to do it. Elkins Cemetery has always been kind of interesting to me. If you look at things closely there, it really seems to be something of a cradle of East Texas early educators. There are several familial names there that have schools named for them in Tyler.

Corrections were made on Mr Applewhite. The dates I had would have come from the cemetery survey and it may just be that the person doing the survey was having a hard time reading the dates.

Thanks so much for those corrections! On some of the older tombstones, it's mostly doing my best to interpret what's there. When provided backup data like that, you look again and go "Well, DUH, that's clearly a 3 now that I'm looking again." I get compliments all the time that people who photograph/log really do a big service, but just as big a service (if not more) are those researchers like you who can catch our mistakes and fill in the blanks!
If you would like this one transferred, let me know and I will gladly do so. :D
