Thank You!
Thank you so much for the picture of Thomas John Shaw's marker at Stronghurst! My uncle Paul painted it years ago and I've wondered how it has held up. Thank you for the fine job you do!

Martha Meridith Grave
Jeanette,

Thank you ever so much for looking for the stone or marker for Martha Meredith. I understand that this is a very old cemetery and no doubt some of the stones or markers have undoubtedly disappeared. This was why I requested a photo. to find out if there was one there for her. Her obituary says she is buried there and I do not know if anyone has a census board for this cemetery. If there is someone that does, I would like to check with them for names because according the obituary she is buried there and also according to his obituary so is Lewis Enfield. It is possible Lewis's wife, Elizabeth, is also buried there but she would of died in Iowa. Lewis Enfield was my husband's great grandfather and Martha Meridith was his grandmother Eliza Delaney Enfield's sister. They were the daughters of William and Rebecca Noakes Delaney who are buried in this cemetery. I appreciate your effort in trying to find the grave and I am sorry to have put you to this trouble. I will remove my request for her and Lewis's grave photos and put in the notes on their memorials that no stone has been found for them.

Lewis Enfield in Adair Cem.
Jeanette,

Thank you ever so much for searching for this stone. I am sorry to have put you to so much work and for there to be no stone. I know Lewis is buried there because I have his obituary saying so. I wish I knew who had a plot map for the cemetery to check where his grave is for sure. I know how many of these old stones have disintegrated and disappeared for I have had experience in hunting for them in my area also. Again, I apologize for having you search for a stone that obviously is no longer there and I do appreciate very much you effort in my behalf. I will remove my request for a photo. Lewis Enfield was my husband's great grandfather.
