|KBounds||RE: Charlie T. Floyd - McCamey Cemetery|
Hi again Sharon, One other thing I just noticed, the DC states he died at Cooper Hospital in McCamey. I'm not familiar with the town at all, but since he was widowed and presumably by himself when he died then maybe they buried him in whatever cemetery was nearby or a city municiple graveyard. I'm guessing possibly he was drifter. He left Louisiana sometime after his wife died 35 years before and just disappeared with no trace or record of him that I could find. I only found him in Texas after running across his death certificate online.) Also, have no idea who the informant is that's listed on the DC. She lived in San Angelo.

Hi Sharon, I sure do appreciate your offer to look.
The name of the person is Charlie Theophilus (Theopolis") Floyd. His memorial is #86109941. I've posted the Death certificate there. He died in 1940. It only says, place of burial is McCamey. I didn't know if that was the name of the cemetery or just a reference to the town. Regardless, I put him in McCamey Cemetery on Find A Grave for lack of better info. I sincerely hope there is a marker for him somewhere to be found.
Thanks very much!

Hi, I noticed you posted a photo of a grave marker from the cemetery. I can't seem to find any info on directions to get to the cemetery or if that is even the actual name of the cemetery. Can you possibly help me on any info about it. I've had a photo request up there for quite a while. I may have to make a road trip out there myself at some point to see if the grave I'm looking for even exists as the death cert only stated place of burial as McCamey. I'm thinking it was probably a city cemetery the person was buried in. Thanks!

Thank you so much for the picture. I think pictures add so much to the family tree. Would it be all right if I add the picture to my Ancestry tree? Again thank you very much.

I just wanted to thank you SO much for taking the picture of my Dad's grave in Rankin TX. I live in CA so I haven't been able to see it in person and I'm estranged from my mother and sister and had only been sent a very small pic of the grave that I couldn't even hardly see. You made my day and I just wanted you to know that. Thank you so much for doing this service for others.

I believe I got that she was buried there from Ancestry.com. In looking I see where someone has listed # 89115697 (Sa' Jane Blankenship Phears), which I believe is the same person not sure where they got the 1833 date and name because by looking at headstone you can't tell. Check with them and see.
