RE: Transfer's
I think its great you are going out taking photographs for folks who are requesting pics. I also think what you did by taking other pictures while you were there is wonderful too. I've done this too but I find that I want to have closure so I photograph the whole cemetery. I think I'm a stickler for accuracy etc. and preservation. If we don't photograph them now, in 100 years or less the stones will not be readable...its the genealogist in me who thinks this way.

If you find you can't read stones, use a soft brush and brush flour over the letters and then photograph. I know some people don't like this technique but I guess you could use baby powder also. Just brush it off after your done. (this is for those really old hard to read stones).

Keep up the great work!

I can transfer over that entire cemetery to you if you are photographing the whole cemetery. I don't have any relatives there. Thx Mindy

I corrected birth year and linked him to his wife. Can you post the pic to her stone as well (if you took pic)? I added her maiden name. Thx for letting me know.

Thank you so much for the photo of Rufus Porter Slack in Holcombe Riverview Cemetery, Lambertville. You are very kind to have taken a clearer photo.

Would you mind placing the same photo on his wife's memorial?

I placed a photo request on that memorial in the hopes that you might get some more credit for fulfilling that request, too.

Thanks again, and I really appreciate your generosity. I promise to Pay It Forward.

Mary Jo
