Regarding Memorial 81741855 that you created. I have posted a new photograph of the grave marker that now shows his deceased spouse. LeRoy.

I forgot to mention- I didn't realize the Pickworth connection until after I got home. Maria was buried with her parents. I plan to stop by on my way home from work today and get photos of their headstones as well and post them.

You're welcome! Sorry, that was the only resolution. I do not resize the photos for this site. I take hundreds and it would be too time-consuming. When I view them on my computer, they are pretty clear. Is there a problem with them on your end? I also added the photos to William's memorial.

Great! You know, you can always leave a message on my page regarding photos. I don't necessarily have to 'claim' a photo request. I am happy to take them as a favor. Not into the 'numbers' game. I honestly wish the site would not publicly display the numbers. Some people seem a little obsessed by it.

This will get taken care of today or tomorrow.

Take care,
Bonnie

Hi there! Long time no 'see'. I've managed to claim this photo request (which is getting harder to do lately due to the popularity of Find a Grave in this area!). Since this burial just took place recently, there may not be a headstone yet, but I will check it out today and get back to you.

Best regards,
Bonnie

My full perspective photo didn't come out, but the large Abel monument was photographed literally from the graves of the Lehman couple, with thirteen or so Abels buried on the same line on both sides of them, with similar headstones. I'll get you a better pic for perspective soon.

Lehman ; Marion Cemetery
Hello!
I see you have photo requests at the cemetery for these two but I see photos are already added. Did you need something else or can you cancel this request so no one else goes out looking for it? I had it on my list but see that there is already a photo.
Thanks!
Delma

We need more generous volunteers such as yourself! Keep up the wonderful work.

RE: Sad but Interesting Story
Regarding James Lightsey, there is not an exact date on the stone. It seems he was only 22 at the time of death and the inscription says "brother". Maybe there is something in old newspapers about the case that would shed more light on the subject. The local paper in Gardena is the Gardena Valley News, but I don't know when it was founded. The other South Bay area paper is the Daily Breeze. James may not be Jack, but the chances are good that he is in some way related. He is not buried in the same plot but is not far from the others.

Sad but Interesting Story
After reading all the bios you added to the Shriners and O'Havers, I got to thinking about how sad their lives had been, messed up by some family members making poor choices, etc. I have added the photos to Irvin's memorial. I have another question: Is James Lightsey related? Is he the same person as Jack, the one who was shot? There is a James Lightsey buried in the same row as this family, but further to the east. He died the same year as "Jack" (1938). Let me know if he is related. I'll be taking photos soon.

Ooops, another typo!
I meant to say: Just let me know what last name Irvin was using at the time of his death.
