Isaac Hamilton Scoggin
Dear Kelley,
I've moved Isaac to KCC, and I'm glad you found his stone. His birth date was Apr. 4, 1831 in Hardeman Co., TN. The death date was Jan. 8, 1893 in Sugar Loaf, Coryell Co., TX. I notice some Ancestry trees give it as 1880, simply because that was the last census he appeared in. He is my brother-in-law's 3rd-great-grandfather. Thanks for all you do.
Sincerely,
Carolyn Womack

Dottie Belt-Cornell
Memorial #76445638
Hi--You posted a memorial for the above # Angeline Morgan Belt as having a date of death of 1907. Could you please tell me where you found this date and is verifiable? This is my great grandmother and I have been searching for her death record since 1974 and only have hints and people writing down dates without verification. I would love to know where and how you found it?????

Many thanks,
Dottie Belt-Cornell

RE: Pascal Wilkins Sr
I do not know. I live in North Carolina and I got this information from a Wilkins relative.
Only thing I know to do is delete Pascal Sr. I still believe that tombstone has the wrong information on it.

Pascal Eugene Wilkins Sr.
The spouse in your memorial is the wife of Pascal Sr. (Note the birthdates) I do not have Pascal Wilkins Jr's spouse's name.
My memorial is for Pascal Sr. and yours is for Pascal Jr. Pascal Sr. was the one nicknamed Gene.

your bio
By the way, Kelley, your bio is fabulous! It always brings a chuckle and smile to my face to re-read it! The use of the word "troll" really gets me! I agree about the goofy/lopsided photos, and sharing all I post on this great site. You definitely have a way with words!! Kudos!

Obituaries
Hi Kelley! How are you coming up with these obituaries on my family? I need to look up some others that didn't seem to make it into my mom's treasure trove of papers and photos. I'm always so thrilled to see that you have found and posted one to my family members.
You can e-mail me at: cindylm44@yahoo.com

Thank you so much for the obituary, and calling the last name to my attention. I feel very silly - this was my beloved Gr-Aunt Virl. She was the most wonderful person you would ever want to know. I appreciate the help.

First of all, thank you for so graciously granting permission in advance for me to use the photograph on this site.

I feel constrained to identify the documentation in my treatise so credit will be given such as "Courtesy of Kelley Bean, owner/contributor, Find A Grave Memorial # ? ? ?" if that is agreeable.

I am currently compiling in hard copy the Cheadle family history of which the above is a descendant (4th great grandson of the progenitor, George Cheadle). My mother-in-law was a Cheadle. I am not requesting transfer of any memorials.

My treatise is in no way a profit making project and will not (by my request) be posted on the internet nor will living individuals be included to the best of my ability.

You have no idea how much we who are of an age (I'm 84) or distance and cannot traipse through cemeteries as we once did appreciate the effort and passion of you who contribute to Find A Grave. Many thanks from an old lady.

P.S. My husband and I have researched between 1999 and 2005 in the McConnelsville area and went through many cemeteries in Morgan Co.

Beulah Mather Dean obituary
Thank you so very much, Kelly, for leaving my grandmother Beulah's obituary on her memorial! That means a lot to me. Somehow it got lost in our things. God Bless you for completing her memorial!

Sue Patterson Miller Smith
Brookover spouse question
What do you know about the theory that Jacob's John's wife Kate-Katherine might have been the same person as the Katherine Devine married to John Keck of MD to Monongalia WV? I cannot find a way to re-access the Carol Keck who suggested that a while back. It sounded like she was accessing a Keck history on point.

I simultaneously can't make that sequencing work but also have tons of crossovers of those same intermarried families and lots of vague dates in general, so anything is possible.

Have an e-mail address available for this sort of exchange? I'm at historian at suddenlink.net.

On the page for this woman you've posted a newspaper clip that says her son was accused of murdering her in 1907. I can't find any more information on that, but I see the son, Joseph, in the 1910 census, married and living with a family and farming. If he was found guilty of murder it doesn't seem like he would have been farming just 3 years later. Do you happen to know the rest of the story? Intriguing! Thanks.
