Thanks for transfer

Thanks for transferring Emil and Elsa Suhr to me. Emil was my grandmother's brother. She is buried in Alliance, Nebraska, their parents are buried somewhere in Germany, near Oldenburg. I added (or requested) notes to their memorials identifying the memorial number of the sibling. Otherwise Emil might never be tied in to his extended family.

Thanks again.

Do you have any idea where the "note" information came from? I was told that he never remarried. I am still looking for it.
Thank you for your help.

Charles Foertmeyer
Vine Street Hill Section 24
Hi Mike,

When you were recording Section 24 at Vine Street Hill you recorded Barbara Hoffman in grave 790, Charles Schutz in 789 and Carrie Meyer Schutz in 788. Do you have a list that tells you who is in 787 and 786, both of which are unmarked?

Paul Rabe
William Rabe of Vine Hill Cem
In your memorial to William Rabe of Vine Hill Cemetery, Cincinnati, you state that he is the " Son of Fredrick & Louisa." I looked at William's Death Certificate, and find he died without much being known about him. What is the basis for your conclusion on his parentage?

I ask because he MIGHT be a long-lost relative in my family tree. And, believe me, I'm the ONLY one in the last 90 years who has cared about what happened to "my" William Rabe.

Transfer of Grave
Mike, I have just asked for transfer of Luella Clark Ashar & Royal Ashar Phillips to me. Juanita is sister of Royal & d/o Luella. I am doing all the Conner line of which the Phillips are distantly related (via Supinger, Crosson, Wilson, Phillips). Would be glad to maintain Juanita's site and add some of the research I have. Thx Carol Conner-Donovan

William J. Enz/Minnie Enz
Mike, I am trying to get photo of my Great, Great Grandparents grave markers. I see that William Enz is listed in Vine Street Cemetery, Section 1, Plot 365, Grave 8, in Cincinnati. I grew up in Cincy, but now reside in Piedmont, SC. When I visit, it is hard to get away to go downtown to get to Vine Street Cemetery. Would also be interested who is also buried in this plot. I am guessing this could be the Miller family ploy, as Minnie was a Miller? Any photo or help would be appreciated!
Kindest Regards,
Chris Folkman
Piedmont, SC

Phillips Family
I am related to the wife of Royal Ashar Phillips buried in Section 120, Lot 81,Space 7. I have been research extensively and have documentation on Royal (who is my main concern). Therefore, I attached the 1900 Census to show his family relationships. I would like a photo of the tombstones of Harry A (1859-1925), Luella Ashar (1869-1943) and sister Juanita Phillips-Austin (1894-1944)All are buried in same section & lot. If you could not take the photographs, could you refer me to someone who can? Thx so much. Carol Conner-Donovan

Yep, I agree. Records from the past can be very confusing; death record says one thing, burial records another.

Surname Correction for Jacob Kiem
Thanks so much for taking a photograph of Jacob Kiem's stone and creating his Find A Grave entry. I had been searching for it. He was the husband of my great grand aunt Mary Schmidt Keim. Although his stone has the surname as Kiem, all of his family members and he as well in his census records and city directories has his last name as Keim. Would it be possible to change his entry in Find A Grave#78588061 to Keim or if that is not possible to cite it as Keim (Kiem)? Thanks so much. Karyl Schmidt.

Michael Hernandez
William R. McDaniel, Find A Grave Memorial# 7758830
Hello Mr. Cusick.
I am most interested in gathering info related to the military (Army Air Corps) service of Mr. McDaniel. He served in the same Bomb Squadron (492nd) as did my late grandfather.

I am establishing a database for the bomb group of which Mr. McDaniel and my grandfather belonged (Seventh), and have also created a website where I've displayed photos, documents, etc. that I've collected from others who served with the group.

With your assistance, I'd be pleased to put together a page within the site on behalf of Mr. McDaniel that would honor his efforts on behalf of our country.

Please contact me at:

I hope to hear from you, sir.

Regards, Michael Hernandez

Catherine Cramer
John Zettel
I'm doing some research on a Cincinnati architect by the name of John Zettel and I'm pretty sure this is the same guy as the death dates are exact, though every source I look at gives his birth year as 1881. For some reason the site was not showing the photo you have up so I couldn't see if your date of 1867 was actually on the stone. Can you help me? Thanks! If it is actually 1867, I will send the correct info to the other sources. I wonder if perhaps he was interred later, I've found that before. Thanks for your help!

RE: Schultz's from Norwood
Here ya go, Mike:

There are birth and death records from Cincinnati; 1865-1912. Not much info is listed, but it may be enough to fill in some blanks. I've found some cool stuff, there. It's a little tedious to search, but worth it!

I'll have a look thru your Schultz's again and see if there's a link!
