I noticed the name George P. Shaw also on the gravestone. Have no idea who he is but created a memorial page for him. Would you mind adding your photo? Good luck finding the grave of your gr-grandparents. Thanks again!

RE: Emmerich info
Am soooooooo glad you emailed. I've been distracted with every thing but geneology, and comparing notes with you. How impolite of me and what you must think of me. My sincere apologies!! As much as this may sound "goofy" I looked and looked and looked for your address yesterday. Could not find your reply and where I had saved it and of course, here you are in the most reasonable place to look. Will contact you late this afternoon. Again, thanks for contacting me again.

Thank you for the headstone photo! I know they are not completely infallible, but neither are typists, as I have seen three different dates for his death, as well as the the spelling of his name. I'm surprised you didn't have to traipse through snow for the picture. Thanks again!

Liberty's grave
Thank you very much for the photo of Liberty's grave. Her husband is one of my brick walls. He is supposed to have had 4 wives (all sisters according to a granddaughter who was interviewed in her 90's). I wonder if I'll ever figure that out. Probably not. I found Thomas and a second wife (from whom I descend) in Lenox, NY but haven't a clue who the others were.
The cemetery website is great! I should find a lot of people in there including Phelps'.
Thank you again for your help.

RE: Trinity Churchyard, NY
The names I added were from a list on a CD-ROM about NY Genealogy. I doubt even a fraction of the people buried there are listed. It is still an active cemetery believe it or not, so you could call the office. Send the updates any way that is convenient for you.

RE: Trinity Churchyard, NY
Kal,

I'll be happy to make any updates you want. Just to be clear, you are talking about Trinity Churchyard which is downtown, not Trinity Cemetery which is uptown? I believe there are many unknown burials at Trinity as the record books either burned or disappeared. There is website that has many burials at Trinity from what records remain. If the name is Irish sounding, I took the information from a book In Old New York, the Irish Dead in Trinity & St. Pauls.
