Hi Beth:

I noticed today that you left a personal message for this person and I wondered if you knew him or about his family..I am trying to work out genealogy as to his mother, Angeline Barnes, a relative of mine through her brother, Orlando, my GGGF. I had an email yesterday from one of BP McCormick's descendants saying Angeline Barnes had been married to a Samuel A. Davis. I'm just interested in any information you have on Angeline, and if none, please excuse my question. Thank you for your time and attention. All the very best, Cris Brown

Transfer request # 105719041 & # 105719090
Hello, Beth,

Ellen Lora Willis Scarlett (# 105719041) and John Jackson Scarlett (# 105719090) are the paternal grandparents of my husband, Michael Scarlett. Mike is the son of Randall Scarlett, who was the youngest child of Jack and Ellen. We purchased their headstone about 6 years ago, as we had been to the cemetery in Colorado in 2006, and they did not have one. (We live in Missouri.)

Will you please transfer both memorials to me?

Thanks for all you do!

Beverly Scarlett

John & Sarah Eastwood
Hi Beth, thank you for transferring John & Sarah Eastwood's memorials to me, I really appreciate that! We plan on getting down to Florence in the next few weeks, is there a good library down that might have old newspapers or historical information to look up? Thanks again, Rhonda

Paul Edward Yount
Beth, I am doing Genealogy work for my branches and I got to Paul Edward Yount, Find A Grave Memorial #100136753, this evening. The death date appears to be the internment date. I read the little note under it. Rather than type in a change of date I decided that I needed to let you handle it. (Due to the little note underneath.)His actual death date is 11 November 1937 according to the book, "The Garoutte History 1775-1975 Revised Edition by Ellan Douglas Thiesen. I understand about finding the time to do these things. I don't worry about it unless it's been 6 mos. and I think it's been forgotten. Thanks for your hard work and Have as Great Day! Vickie (Clan Logan)

Ray Halbrook # 79510984
Hello Beth in Colorado,

I live in Oregon. Cecil Halbrook was my great grandfather. He is the brother to Ray Halbrook # 79510984.

I would love to hear from you if we might be related. I have early and later photos of Ray. Cecil has a great granddaughter in Colorado also.

I would love to make contact with "cousins."

Best wishes.

I noticed on the memorial you manage for John Eastwood you left personalized Flores. I'm wondering if you are related or familiar with him and his wife Sarah. Sarah is my 3rd great aunt and I'm looking for more information on their family. Thank you four time.

My great-grandmother was Capatola Viola Menefee. My mother told stories about her (her grandmother), and she's somewhat of a legend in our family. My mom, who is no longer with us, said Capatola had five husbands, which I believed as a child, but never dreamed, as a family genealogist, that I might confirm. It turns out that I was able to find records for FOUR of them! It's not even impossible there was a fifth, although I never found one. Her fourth (or fifth?) husband was Roy Menefee, who is also buried at Lakeside, and I also got his obituary through your work. Those two obituaries provide me with the name of a "foster" daughter, but whose biological daughter she might be, I have no idea. She could be a lost sister of my grandmother, but could also be the daughter of one of Capatola's husbands, which is more likely. In any case, it's all quite interesting, and I would not have the name without your help. Thank you again!

Beth, you are wonderful! I have researched my great-grandmother for years and never found the obituary that you provided along with her grave, although I had taken the trip once to visit and take pictures. Just fabulous that you found this and shared it. I have all kinds of new information to collate and digest. Thank you. Bless you!

Diane Payne
David Randall & Randle
Hi Beth,

Thank you for all the wonderful contributions you make to Find A Grave.

There is a duplicate and not sure how to handle it.

John Randall and is wife Mary Randall are both listed in the Lakeside cemetery, with a headstone photo. However, the stone has the surname listed as Randle.

Not sure if you and the other contributor can merge them? Or leave yours with a note See John Randle See Mary Randle

Thanks again for everything!!!

Pierce Allman
Again with Pierce Allman (21334289). Are you sure this is the correct stone? I can't read the name but I can read "CO G, 4 IA CAV". This man was too young to be in the Civil War (if that is a CW headstone). Don't mean to step on toes, just wondering.

Odd flower
"A garden of Peace for you, Mr. Pierceon."

Thought this was an odd flower since his last name is Allman.
