does anyone know why the Smith name was changed?
I am a bit uncomfortable with Robert Smith's son's
(b 1736 d. 1756 married to Rebecca Sheppard) name change to Smithey from that of his father's Smith ( b. 1693 d. 1745)

The towns are a bit of a mystery also, Robert Smithey b. 1736 d 1756 both in Penn. Wife born in Virginia and son John Smithey b 1756 born in Virginia.

Please if anyone can explain these facts I would most appreciate them. Are there any birth/christening records or other verification that Smithey is really the son of Robert Smith and Phebe Canby?

Hi Mark

The Donnell's are my family, but numbers don't matter to me as long as we get the data correct.

Thanks for offering anyway.

John Milligan II
THANKYOUTHANKYOUTHANKYOU!!!! :-) I was doing some reminiscing/researching on a whim tonight of some of my family members, and I have NEVER seen this picture before of my great-great-great grandfather, John Milligan II. We only have pictures as far back as Israel Milligan. He was my 2x great grandfather, through WKP milligan, through Frank G. Milligan, and then my own father Glenn D. Milligan.
