Nice to see another.....
fan of Helene Hanff! She has been a long-time favorite of mine; her books always have made me smile. Always felt a kinship with her, as I, too, am a confirmed Anglophile AND the daughter of a University English Lit Professor (my mom!), who drilled a love of books and essays into me. I will always bless her for that. Do you love "84, Charing Cross Road"? My parents actually were there, before it was demolished, back in the late 60s. I traveled there afterwards, sadly. But my love of Hanff books will live on forever!

Glad to see your tribute to Helene Hanff, Steve. God's blessings to you and yours,

Hello Steven, It's Annamarie.
How are you? I am still keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. These terrible upsets take time, to even start to feel the slightest bit better. But one day, you will start to feel better. That does not mean you will forget, but your heart will not feel as heavy.
Take care, God Bless, Annamarie.

Hello Steven, it's Annamarie. Thank you so much for your message. I have not been on here recently, I have had problems with the computer and the internet. I had no connection a week. It's working at the moment, but the computer is very slow.
How are you getting on? These things always take time.
I was sad to hear about Xena and Angel. I have know some very nice pit bulls. I have also known several people, who have had no real thought for their animals. I can never understand it. At least they knew you loved them.
You must take care of yourself. I am still keeping all of you in my thoughts. Until next time, God Bless, Annamarie.

Hi Steve
Thanks for your kind words..I am sorry to hear about Nora's sister. They are playing together now free of pain. I hope that comforts you a little. I know my 18 year old cat will go one day and it is going to be so very hard, even though I know she will join her cousins mamacat and Babycat. Thank Care Steven..

Hello Steven,
Thanks for your message. I am not on here so much at the moment.
I am sorry no one else has sent condolences for Pele.
I don't think anyone means to be unkind. I have not been a member too long. I am still trying to find my way around. Some might not know about her. Some might not know what to say. I am always a little unsure of what to say. I know how it all feels, but trying to put it into words is another matter. I just write what I feel, I draw from my own experience, hope it makes sense and brings some comfort.
I know you are very depressed at the moment, you have had two bereavements so close together. This will make you feel you don't want to do things, like come on here. I think I would feel the same. It would be a shame if you left Find A Grave completely though. So just visit your own memorials for now, other memorials can wait. You must think of yourself for now. This has been a horrible time for you. You have got to allow yourself time to grieve for those beautiful girls. I know it might not seem like it at right now, but one day, you will feel better than you do at the moment. You will never forget, or stop loving Nora and Pele, but everything will not be as painful and of course, Nora and Pele will never forget or stop loving you either.
I will send out my thoughts for you, your family and Molly. I hope it brings you some comfort.
Until next time, God Bless you, Annamarie.

I don't know what happened there, but the computer sent the message, before I had finished writing. I am not very good with computers.
What I was in the middle of saying was, for us, even having this knowledge, it does not make the grief, the sorrow any easier.
Molly is left behind. I know you will understand that animals grieve as well. Take strength from each other. I have found, in the past, that giving an animal that is left behind comfort, has given me comfort as well. We have given each other strength. You might find the same. I hope so. For me it was the only thing that seemed to work.
I will keep you, Nora, Pele and Molly in my prayers. God Bless all of you and may the angles hug you. Annamarie

Hello Steven. Thank you for your message.
I know what you mean, when you say to be there when someone you love dies is haunting and overwhelming. It is a very hard thing to do. But you were there when Pele needed help. You gave her love and comfort. You carried her, even though it would have torn your insides out with upset and worry, you did it. That is a wonderful thing to do. To swallow your own despair and help someone in their hour of need. Pele knew you were helping her and you were doing it out of LOVE. That is all any animal ever really asks for, love. Her love for you will stronger because of that.
You said she got up and looked at you and you looked into her eyes and you felt she was saying it was time, she'd had enough. Pele knew, she understood. Animals have a greater understanding than we have. I have seen animals do this. They know when their physical body has had enough and their spirit needs to go home.

Hello again Steven.
I have just been to visit Nora and I saw your message about the other dog. What a horrible time you are having. I am so sorry.
I understand there were 3 dogs. The one that is left will be sad as well.
I don't know what to say to help you feel a little better. At the moment, nothing I or anyone else says can ease your grief.
I can only send out my thoughts and prayers, for you and the dog that is left behind.
I am so sorry that all this is happening.
God Bless you, Annamarie.

Hello Steven, It's Annamarie.
I am sorry for not being around too much recently, but things are very hectic and I can't come on here too much at the moment.
I was wondering how you are getting on?
I remember you saying you had not been feeling well. I hope that it has cleared now.
You take care. God Bless, Annamarie.

Hi Steven,
I was just wondering if you were feeling better. I always worry about my findagrave friends. You know the trails of life. Its hurts real bad if we lose someone we love very much. I just l lost my Aunt. She was the brother of one of my uncles, so she wasn't really my aunt, but she was my aunt. She told us when all of us were kids, you better call me your aunt because I am. So ever since then we looked up to her as our aunt. I really loved her and will miss her. I didn't see her to much towards the last years in her life, and now I wish that I had. You know how that goes. You had a beauiful dog was so close to you. Have a good day Steven

You are so welcome. Our pets give so much love and devoution to us. They are family. I lost my lab-dalmation mix, Kassie, back in 2003 and it still tears me up. She was such a loving and protectfull companion and she is so missed. I hope to put her a memorial on here. Take care and God Bless you and your family.
