Randolph Cemetary
Thank you for all of the work you are doing--it's quite impressive! I have a question about 3 people you have listed as children of Hugh Powhatan and Elizabeth Randolph. The children are buried in Randolph Cemetary. I've been searching census and other records and don't see these children's names listed anywhere. Do you have a source of documentation that connects Hugh and Elizabeth with these children that you'd be willing to share? The parents are buried in Richmond, Missouri; they lived in Henderson County until the late 1800s. I would really appreciate any sources you might have. Thanks.

Hi Vandalia,

I just wondered if you found information about George Rowland. I figured he was buried at Rowland Cemetery, but I had no proof. Did you find him in Mr. Blue's book? Did you ever make it out to Craig-Reid Cemetery? I was hoping you'd found the graves there.

RE: Hi!
Oh my gosh really? That's awesome. I don't know all of her Pippin family members (from what I understand there are a LOT of you all) but I do know a few. She actually lived next door for the first eighteen years of my life before she passed so I was super close to her and I think of her nearly every day still. I'm actually Carl's daughter. Do you know Christi and her kids Tyler and Alex? My mom used to babysit them when they were little. They and Christi's sisters are the only relatives that my parents saw routinely when I was older, though they did see Grandma's brothers and their wives and occasionally their children from time to time. I think my brother interviewed Thomas when he was a kid for a school project because he had fought in World War II and we used to give them a ton of vegetables all the time from my parents garden.

Who are you related to just out of curiosity?

RE: Hi, cousin!
I don't remember your mom, but as she would have been a teenager when I was a kid, that makes sense! The Blanford's had wonderful childhoods with many sweet memories.

RE: Hi, cousin!
Spent many a day at Aunt Rene and Uncle Dick's. We (Grandma Opal and some of the kids and grandkids) went Christmas caroling there the last Christmas Aunt Rene was alive and all took little gifts. Think she really enjoyed it.

I have a lot of memories of Jody, too. He had such a funny sense of humor despite all of his disabilities. And John Harvey was my age, so we played together a bit growing up... I was wondering where you fit in. Now I know!

RE: Hi, cousin!
Thanks so much for all your help. I deleted my request for a child link and included it in the biographies (I think successfully!) May God reward you; I don't think I could've done it without you.

Okay, I didn't get it right the first time. Saw another example and understood a little better. Would you be willing to link my grandparents to the boys?

RE: Hi, cousin!
Wow, you're quick! Thanks for the advice. I didn't really like the option of listing them as children because, like you said, it's not accurate. I haven't tried the linking yet, but I'm going to give it a try. I'm a techno dummy, so my chances are about 50/50.

RE: Powell-Raymond
That is great about you guys wanting to clean Brickwall up. Maybe you all will uncover more graves. Thats what I hope to do when I go back to Powell this fall. I have finished posting all the photos I took. It says 60% photographed which is of course a lot better than the 2% it was lol. I added two memorials also that must not have been in the cemetery book.

Hello Cousin
I am related to you via your Gibson blood line. I believe our common ancestor is Berryman Gibson. I was wondering if your would be so kind as to transfer Leonard Marshall White into my member number (48494392). Leonard is my great grandfather. Thank you for your consideration. I appreciate it.

Thanks hope you find it! I wondered about the Craig-Reid Cemetery too. All the stones there may be gone.

Hi Vandalia,

Have you ever heard of a Cemetery in Scuffletown named above and it's location? It's in "Gone but not Forgotten". I figured you'd know of any cemetery in Henderson county.

Thanks, have a great day!

Sherry

Hello Cousin
It turns out we have mutual 5th Mattingly/Shanks. I have lots of ancestors with mortal remains that reside in Union or St. Vincent Kentucky. Millers and Willets to name a few. I also have a site on ancestry.com vwgrantwriter or wvgrantwriter@gmail.com
