thanks for the info.
Added by djyancey on Apr 05, 2016 7:38 PM
Thanks for the photo of the marker of Milton Yaney.
It must have been placed recently.
For the longest time no one knew the exact burial location of Milton and it was not marked.

CORRECTION, i just noticed that Gladys already has a memorial setup in Denton under the Roselawn cemetery there. you could request a photo from that area, using that proper Gladys Whitten memorial. in the meantime, i'll request the duplicate memorial of Glayds (name is spelled wrong) in Seagoville, TX be removed.

WOW! Gladys' memorial needs to be corrected if she is buried in Roselawn DENTON. Denton is over an hours drive from my house. I will get in contact with the creator of her memorial account and see if he can have it corrected to Denton. Once that is done, you could request, once again, a photo for her and hopefully someone from that area will be able to fulfill it for you.
Thanks for letting me know. have a great weekend.

|Mr & Mrs||RE: Photo for Daphne Sunshine Greene Miears|
Thanks for the kind words, make it worth while when the photos are useful to others.
By the time we got thru with the cemetery we were dragging (had done a few rows some time ago).
There were a couple turned over in the ground and a couple broken up ones that we could not get :-( Wish I knew who they were. Also several large rocks marking the graves ?? The old church has been torn down & the cemetery was in good shape.
Thanks again for being so kind.

|Pam Smith||Jones Family|
Hi Mr. Tom. I was wondering if you have come across any photos of the Wrightman Jones family (that moved to Shelby County, TX). Wrightman was my grandmother's (Cecil Jones Hill)grandfather.
Thanks for all you have done to record our ancestry! Pam Audas Smith (Granddaughter of Cecil Jones Hill).

The temporary maker was easy to read, but difficult to see in the photo. I took a close-up, but it did not help a lot.

I am not related to the Sinclair/Powell family. I have deleted the duplicate and have sent an edit to add the date of death. Thank you for your kind note

You are very welcome. I was happy to take them. I think that is so great that you know their history. I recently learned that my great grandparents traveled by wagon train from New York to South Dakota and settled there. It's so great knowing where we come from. I'm glad I was able to help you out by posting those pictures.

|Ann Pronger Wells||Jones Keeney marriage|
I have a Clarice Orene Jones 1909-2005
buried in Amarillo, Potter Co, Texas
married Raphael M Keeney 1907-2001:
Her obit lists Kenneth Wade Jones as her brother. Is this the same Jones family that you have information on ?
Thanks in advance for your help .

Thank you Mr. Jones. Without your posting, I would not have found Latha Elizabeth and Caleb Powell, Miers, Jones and others connected to these people. I am related to all these people in one way or another. I have been able to get past them to a possible link to Indian ancestry. Thank you again for your amazing work. Cindy s/t FCGS.

|Angie||RE: Your Photos for Carlos Smith|
From I-30, take exit 201 New Boston (Hwy 8/N McCoy Blvd) go north about 1 mile, it is on the right. A pretty little white clapboard church with a historical marker in front. DO NOT stop at the first cemetery you see...it is a predominately black cemetery and in very poor shape. Red Bayou is the second one going north, and is very well-kept.
And you are very welcome for the pics. Enjoy!
