Jacob Simmons
Hello,

I am hoping you can help clear up some confusion. The 1880 and 1900 census for Jacob Simmons states that his father was born in Virginia and mother in Pennsylvania. In find a grave and some other sources Jacobs father is Mary Myers also born in Ohio. Can you be sure or have hard evidence that the Jacob Simmons parents listed in findagrave are Richard and Mary? Are they close by each other in the cemetery by any chance?

Thanks,

Larry Willis

TJ, would you mind transferring this virtual grave to me. Rosie's parents (Caroline and Henry) are my 2G grandparents and I manage their graves too. I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

Only one marker on this lot, for Jefferson and Angeline, but many additional family members moved here according to cemetery records. The Richardson family is very confusing (as are some of the researchers, I fear) but I'll be happy to share the document of clues that I collected if you email me directly at beerscentral@roadrunner.com.

RE: Leland Kammerud

Terri,
This is what Find A Grave has to say in the FAQ section about it.
Q. Is it acceptable to add a memorial for someone who is still living?
A. Please try to avoid it. In general, we do not encourage adding memorials for individuals who are still living. We do realize, however, that when transcribing a cemetery, it is not always possible to determine if the person is living or not. Please do not add pre-need memorials from (1931-present) to Find A Grave. Memorials for individuals who are alive will be removed when requested (the exception being for 'famous' individuals who already have a burial location in place). You are always welcome to create a 'pre-need' memorial for yourself, if you would like, provided that you have a pre-need headstone already in place in a cemetery.

I was able to get a photo of James G & Rosina Richardson and attached them. Also, I do have more info related to children in addition to Eliza Knocke, who my Aunt Eliza was named after.

Well, I guess you are a better detective than I am. The information I had came from Fred's niece, one of the few errors she has made. I've corrected everything and I thank you so much. The grave to the right in the photo is for Fred's daughter and her husband. I made the memorials. If it's not too much trouble, would you mind posting the photo on her page, # 89008713 and her husband, # 89008836. Thank you again, Sherlock would be proud.

Dear TJ,
Thanks so much for the photo of Cindy Johnson's gravesite. She was a friend from years ago and I discovered info about her passing back in August. How sad it was that I was not able to find a picture of her grave. Now I can see it. Thanks so much. It means so much to me. Your kindness is so appreciated.

TJ,
Are you a Simmons descendant?
My grandmother (Veda Simmons Green) was the granddaughter of Henry and Emeline Simmons.
I have some Simmons information about the Smith County Simmons family. Let me know if I can help.
I'll add a few more Simmons gravestone pictures today.

TJ

I see you sent Batchellers back to me!

It is FINE for you to manage these, so if you want them, just let me know.

It's just that I had been to the cemetery recently, took lots of pics of my favorite families and wanted to get as much info on the memorials as I could.

So I was researching them on Ancestry.com and came across several trees. I emailed the tree creators to ask a question. Lo and behold, they were children and grandchildren of the Bs who were about my age in school, so we knew each other well. They wanted to communicate and really appreciated the info we had there! :-)

Let me know if you'd still like to manage these. I know it is hard to keep up with lots of family. I just think I have a small family until I start reaching out to my childhood!!! :-)

RE: William Moralee photo request
Thanks so much. I appreciate your efforts. I am hoping to get out that way next spring: I'm in Washington State on a little island off Seattle so I'm not very accessible! I have another relative in that cemetery, Mary Beavan Wheeler Alton whose gravestone is also laid flat but has not sunk down. I sure hope the one for William can be 'resurrected.'
