I transferred the memorial to you so you can give it the respect it deserves. I took the pictures for my ancestry account my husbands grandmother is a Berger and I thought her name would come into play somewhere down the line. I took a bunch of pictures and once my broken ankle heals I will start taking more of my local cemeteries. If I can you help you any further let me know.

I did load the photo and asked to have it moved into the proper cemetery, which is St Matthews Union. He didn't move the memorial, so I removed it. I don't want to mislead anyone into thinking the stone is in UCC when it is St Matt Union. You can email him and ask him to move the memorial into the proper cemetery. Maybe you will get better results then I have and I will repost the picture.

John Kline
Hi Beth,

I forgot to tell you that my husband is related to John Kline through his oldest brother, Jesse Kline. I actually started the Kline family tree for my mother-in-law whose mother was a Kline. Just thought it was kind of interesting that we were both working on our husband's tree!

John Kline & Matilda Steinbarger
Hi Beth,

John Kline married Matilda "Tillie" Drumhiller Steinbarger in Centreville, St. Joseph, MI on Jan. 25, 1900. The marriage record says that each of them had been married once before. They seem to have been missed in the 1900 census but in the 1910 census they are living in Park Twp., St. Joseph, MI with their son, Guy.

Green Bentley married Margaret Ellen Benfer Cline on Jun 30, 1909 in Parkville, St. Joseph, MI on June 30, 1909. Their marriage record says that each of them had been married once before.

The 1900 census show Magay (I assume that's Maggie) and Stella Kline working as servants and living in the household of Oliver W. Stoplar of Colon Twp., St. Joseph, MI.

I have the marriage records and death certificates that I could send you if you care to send me your email address. I don't have a divorce record, though.

Beth--No, the photos are not online anywhere since I am not sure of the identities of some of the individuals. If you want, you can email me direct with your email address and I can scan and send them to you. Some are these very old tin photos which are very dark and may not copy too well, but I will try and see what happens. My email address is

Michael Heiney
Hello Beth. I have made to the links to Michael Heiney as you requested. Nathan Heiney is my maternal great grandfather. I have photos of Nathan and his wife if you are interested. I also have photos of who I believe are Michael and Fronika (Franny) Heiney and of Franny's second husband. However, with the exception of Franny's second husband, they weren't marked, so my mother wasn't sure. Unless I find some others to compare them to, I can't be sure. I prefer to keep the memorials, but thanks for helping. Any other suggestions or additions are greatly appreciated. Bonnie

Alfred's full name is Alfred Christian Wilhelm Tonne. His parents are Heinrich Dietrich Friedrich Tonne & Sophia Maria Marquardt.

Ida's full name is Ida Emma Marie Sophie Hachmeister. Her parents are Edward Hachmeister & Anna Sophie Marie Schmaedke.

Alfred had the following siblings:
George Friederich Wilhelm Christian Tonne
Ellen Sophia Regine Tonne
Herman Fritz Conrad Tonne

RE: Florence Schaefer photo
You're so welcome. It was a beautiful fall day yesterday and yours was my first request ever. Of course you can list the photo. I called the number listed on Internet for the cemetery plot number (( which happened to be the city clerk's office). Very interestingly, a man had called the clerk earlier yesterday morning also looking for the plot number of Florence. Was this a relative of yours or someone from Find a Grave? I was so excited to find your headstone with George's name on it. The clerk also requested a copy of picture and they were going to register George, too. Their headstone made me smile!!!

Mary Heiney/Estella Hackman

Mary and Estella were born to John and Margaret (Benfer) Kline. I'm trying to link John with his parents, which would be the girls grandparents - Jacob and Catharine Kline - who are buried in Moorepark Cemetery. (Well, I guess here it's listed as Moore Park Cemetery.) I have a death notice/obituary that places John Kline in what I believe is Mendon Township Cemetery. (It just says interment was at Mendon.) I was wondering if you knew anything to confirm that or not. I did a bit of looking in the Mendon Twp. Cemetery but didn't find him.

Any help you could give me would be appreciated!

RE: Ellamanda Heiney photo
When I took Ellammanda's photo I also took photos of the other sides of her monument. On the one side is Eva Hankey#42027247 and on the back is Jacob Hankey#42027260(h/o Eva). I am assuming they are all related to each other since their names are on the same stone... Just wanted to let you know in case they are in fact some relation to Ellamanda.
