Glad you liked the pictures - and I've happily transferred them over to your care. I did a bit of searching around, but had no luck -- but I have an idea or two of where to look for some clues. Stay tuned -- hopefully I'll have some info for you by this time next week on what happened -- now I'm curious! My best, Cor.

Glad I could be of help. She is buried in the furthest corner of the cemetery and I had never been in that area before.

Greeting Naomi, this is a fun hobby, isn't it! I've lately been working of a list of Chicago Baha'is who sent a petition to Abdu'l-Baha in 1919 that was published in Baha'i News.
Albert Vail's wife signed the petition, so I think we can call her a Baha'i at one time. Also, Albert Windust's wife and daughter signed the petition so we should add them to our lists.
Thanks for the Ioas family, I've been looking for them.

I went off the city cemetery burial information web site. I agree that one of the locations did not seem right. the new/recent ones should be in the "t" section or nearby.

There is a picture of Mr. Davis' headstone already on the memorial # that you included in your message to me. I added it again though.

As per our agreement, please delete your memorial for Theodore Davis, which was made 2 years after the one I created. At your request, I had given you management of his memorial that I had created. So please transfer (copy & paste) the photo, the obit, and whatever else, from your memorial to the one I made, as manager of the memorial I made, you'll be able to transfer over everything easily. Thanks.

You are very welcome.

Per findagrave rules, the first memorial created is the one that remains. If you would like me to transfer management of his memorial to you, I will be happy to do so. Then you can copy/paste the obit and photo onto his memorial which I created in 2011, and you can delete yours created in 2013. The original memorial which I created will be yours to manage.

Do you know where this Susan Tift's father Richard is buried. Or what class of Albany High was she in. There is a site called Albany High Times that keeps all of the deaths of classmates. Thanks, Brenda

|Terry Colbert||RE: Descendants of Joseph Shelton Davis|
Thank you for your response. The family I am talking about has links to "Joseph Shelton Davis" from Georgia. His father was "John A Davis" and his son was "John A. Davis." From there, and not posted on Find-A-Grave, I knew a "Joseph Shelton Davis" who was a substantial business owner in Kansas and he was from the south.
He had two sons, "Joseph Shelton Davis, Jr." and "John A. Davis."
This John A. Davis(deceased) had a son, "Joseph Shelton Davis" (now deceased) and they were my next door neighbor growing up. I thought that the names were the same so that they must surely be related. I will continue my genealogical research when time.

|Terry Colbert||Descendants of Joseph Shelton Davis|
I looked up the obit of "Captian John A Davis" who died in 1904. It shows his son Joseph Shelton Davis died in 1934. Then there was the grandson, John A Davis. Here is where I come in and have wonderment.
My next door neighbor John A Davis and his brother Joseph Shelton Davis Jr were both he sons of Joseph Shelton Davis known as "Pop" Davis. He was a prominent owner of gas stations of the Phillips Sixty six brand back in the 50's and 60s and taken over by John A Davis his son later. Joseph Shelton Davis Jr would be in his eighties by now and is a practicing lawyer as far as I know. His brother, John A Davis, and my former next door neighbor and (listen up) his son, Joseph Shelton Davis III are both deceased. I do not see any of these in this paragraph in the find a grave. With an unusual name like "Joseph Shelton Davis" and the "John Davis" names with it, I am thinking that Joseph Shelton Davis III is the grandson of "Pop Davis" (deceased, I knew him in the fifties and he was older then). So it would go: 1. "Captian John A Davis" then Joseph Shelton Davis" then "John A Davis" (who died in 1947 and then Joseph Shelton Davis (Pop, the grandpa of the boys I knew, my next door neighbors. Then there is John Davis, their Dad and their uncle Joseph Shelton Davis, Jr, both sons of Pop Davis and then tw of John's sons are deceased
Joseph Shelton Davis III who died in the 1990's (I believe found dead in California I believe) and the other son Ronald Davis who died around 2007 or so. His picture is on the wall of the American Legion in Overland Park Kansas, our hometown" "Captain ronald Davis." Now isn;t that interesting?
Any ideas? email@example.com

What is this about misplacement? If the cemetery is incorrect please let me know so I can have it fixed. I have researched since this info was sent to me from a contributor and have seen at least three other cemeteries as his resting place, Gammams cemetery or pioneerpark?
Thank you. K
