Myron S Rowen photo
Also, the photo posted on the duplicate Find A Grave for Myron S. Rowen # 59440350 created by David Goltry (after yours was created) has a much better photo of Myron's gravestone, as shared by Irv and Marietta. But David's Find A Grave should be deleted, as duplicates for the same person are against Find A Grave rules.

RE: Myron Rowen
Hi Joanne, I am somewhat distantly related to Myron's wife, Virginia Saum (half 3rd cousin, 3 times removed). But ironically, based on census records, I had Myron's surname spelt as Rowin, rather than Rowen and on Virginia's I see it is showing as Rowin. Do you know anything more about this difference in spelling?

Irene Rocker Photo
I have posted a photo for Irene Rocker. The birth date is different and the nickname is inscribed as the first name. If this is the wrong person, I will delete the picture. Happy ancestor hunting !!

RE: James and Sarah Thomson
We seem to be working together on so many of the same memorials! You don't have to post a thank you each time, unless it helps with your bookkeeping system. Attaching my name to a bio might be nice, tho, and also help anyone with questions to contact me for further info.

Photo Request
I filled your photo request today for #6847930 William Harmond. It is by no means a good photo and I will redo it at a later date. Conditions were just not good with all the fire ants around the stone along with the little snake looking at me wondering what I was doing there...UGH..! I hate snakes to say the least.

We have had so much rain and the ants and snakes are just BAD right now. I will make a point next time I go out there to clean off the headstone and get a nice, clean photo.

Thank You

I may have thanked once before for your picture of My cousin's grave marker, but after the clues that picture provided me, I have been able to flesh-out my memorial for him greatly. So, thank you!

Robert McKinnon

P. S. I share your enthusiasm for family research.

I have been to several Cemeteries where there are few markers left. Creating these records and labling them with the information gives folks the knowledge to place new markers for their family members.

Thanks for your time invested.

Joseph Mayfield photo request
I found his grave yesterday, but it only has a temporary marker on it and I can read his name and date of death 1963. The printing is very faded. Someone left fresh flowers on his grave as well as next to him on grave of Florence Mayfield 1910=1921 and grave of William Mayfield 1839-1921. Those two have headstones. This grave was on the left side of the main road entered the cemetery and fairly close to the first row of graves next to Hamrick road. I did take a photo of the temporary placque marker but I didnt know if I should put that on this site.

Central Point Masonic Lodge Cemetery
Found an article!

Re: Joseph Mayfield photo request
Hi Joanne,
I am only getting bits and pieces of info on Mayfield's grave. I found who OWNS the cemetery now; just that bit took a few visits (local sheriff, local city hall, sheesh!) but phone number listed was wrong; more digging; got the correct # but no one answers. Have left 2 messages. But it's a local Masonic Lodge, so no idea when they are there. Use this website:

and you can find Joseph Mayfield listed (via a link) with birth date and death date. I will continue to annoy these peeps until somebody answers! lol. Wish I had better luck for you. I'm still waiting for somebody to call me back.

Re: Joseph Mayfield photo request
Hello! My daughter and I just spent an hour over at Central Point Cemetery (Oregon) looking for the photo you requested. No luck so far. There are over 2,000 graves in there though. Will look again, plus see if I can find any organization that may be managing that cemetery. Just wanted to update you.

RE: Carter-Fullbright Cemetery
I have deleted mine. I had the information wrote down in a notebook from years ago when my father and I went there but did not notice that they already had a site. Thanks for noticing. I just don't know how to delete the cemetery name Carter-Fullbright. Do you know how?

RE: Delilah Taylor
Hi there - I thought I had a photo of the burial ground, but I don't. I'll get one - it's only a few miles from my house. I'll get one after the snow melts - we've gotten a ton of it lately, then I'll get a better one when the spring comes. The burial ground is located on a parcel owned by a manufacturing corporation. It is fenced and they maintain it very well. Christopher Taylor and his history is well known here in Jonesborough. His log house was moved from this site into town several decades ago and is widely visited by tourists. Unfortunately, as is the case with many of these very old burial grounds, markers can be few and far between. We (SAR) marked Christopher's a few years ago. I will post an aerial view photo to the cemetery link - give it a couple days to show up. More later, Gordon
