Dear Indiana Bill,
Don't know how I missed your 2011 comments on the photo of Mary M Smith Lininger but I did! Her picture has been deleted and re-inserted as a photo of a person. Your directions as to how to do it were great and I appreciated them!

Thanks so much for responding so quickly to my request. I just found this site earlier today and was very excited about it. I have taken the time yet to read all the rules. It is a lot of info. I am excited to show the pic to her sister who lives in Tennessee, my husband and I are in Georgia. The family has not been back to Indiana in a long, long time. Debbies mother, Linda Buchanan, moved her two sisters and brother to Tennessee and Linda remained there until she passed a little over 3 years ago. We had her remains cremated and now just trying to find the best time for us all to travel to Indiana to place Linda beside her baby girl.

Yes by my new page I meant on this site. Thanks for the help, May I add you as a friend?

Memorials 108395030 & 108395051
Thanks so much for posting the Memorials for Carl August Kindberg and Marie E. Arndt Kindberg. Carl's nickname was "Boss" and Marie's was "Girlie." Marie is my first cousin two times removed. Marie passed away in Trumbull County, Ohio where she was living at the time. Boss passed away in Lake County, Indiana. Both were born in Indiana.
Thanks for all your work at Find a Grave.

Memorial 89580623
Dear Bill,

I am writing to ask your permission to copy the photographs on this memorial. I am assisting my cousin with his family's genealogy and Nancy Ross Nehemiah is his step 2nd great grandmother. I will always give you credit for the photograph. I would like to post it to the Ross family tree on I am not considering at this time any type of publication of the Ross genealogy, so the photograph would only be posted to a public tree on There may be other photographs that you have posted that would also be part of this family that I am hoping you will be willing to allow me to also copy, but at this time, I have not identified them. Again, I will give you credit for any and all photos that I would copy and post. I appreciate you considering my request. I live in Arizona and my cousin lives in southern IN so traveling to northern IN is very difficult.

Sincerely, Tracy Martinez

My source is her daughter's marriage record. Ancestry confirmed the spelling for me.

I linked her daughter, Alma Latham, wife of George McNaughton (here is Story County.)

St Mary's Cemetery
Thanks for all the pictures from St Mary's Cemetery in Crown Point. I was planning a blitz for when I go home to visit this summer and you just saved me a vacation day. My little man thanks you too because he doesn't enjoy hanging around the cemetery with Dad while he takes pictures. Imagine that :-)

Thanks for the updated photo, I appreciate it. I seem to remember finding this stone mostly buried, so I cleaned it the best I could with what I had at the time. I'm not sure if someone else cleaned it, or if the rain and snow did, but it looks great now. Thanks!

OK found it ... Our paternal side. This is a list of his parents him and his siblings with the known dates. This is just family records so is not infallible! If you don't want to do the change it is fine.
Now that Find A Grave has been sold to the family is discussing not putting up anymore info. I hope they change their minds as they have a lot of info and old pictures to add. Take Care

Hi, I am not sure. There are several of us (family members) who are working together so don't know which sent the edit. When I find out I will have them send you the source of the info along with another request.

RE: Russell Armstrong Herran #74078966
Thank you. No, I wasn't going to contact Jim about Leta's memorial. I am not related, either, I had found Lillian's sister's obituary, and the Sparks in Indiana made me curious so I looked around a bit and stumbled on the marriage records. I was actually looking for some Divilbiss/Divelbiss folks when I went off on this whole tangent, so I'll leave it alone now.
Thank you.
