|Susan||Delaney's, St Denis|
Posted Daisy's obituary. Are these your relatives? If so, send me a list of names and numbers and I'll transfer them to you.
There's ALOT of Delaneys in St Denis, going back a long time.

|Anne Cady||Carroll Colton & new SAC form in general|
I got the suggestion you sent on Carroll Colton. I don't think you were aware that the "comment" field on the new SAC form is only for saying thanks, giving a source, or some really quick comment. When we receive it it is just a small info bubble and its not easy to get it into the memorial. In this case in fact, I could only see the last part of what you wrote. In the future, while names, dates, locations can be done using those new options....for biographies and links you need to use the last option which is to send additional info. That way I get it in a manner that I can copy it.
In this case, I knew of the obituary and knew where to find it so I went and copied it in from the Ogdensburg Journal on the NNYL website.

|Chuck C||Emma Rockefeller date|
Thanks for pointing out the discrepancy regarding Emma Rockefeller's death date. I revisited the cemetery and you are exactly right. The death year should be 1963. It was partially obscured by lichen growth. I have made the correction and added a new picture of the stone.
Emma's stone is adjacent to the large stone with the name Rockefeller on the front. Names on the other 3 sides of the large stone are: Crawford Rockefeller & Etta G. Potts (back), Edith Rockefeller (left), Herbert L. Rockefeller & Ada Lasher (right). These all appear on Find A Grave.
Thanks again for catching this and for your excellent analysis.

|John Glassford||RE: ancestry.com|
Thanks for checking. I may have given permission on that one as I almost always give permission when asked when the photo is not in one of my books. I will look into it and I will not mention you at all. I don't appreciate deceit after spending years of documenting these graveyards, I appreciate someone asking first. ;)
As for your question, yes both stones are his. In the photo detailing the plots you'll see Sarah's grave (with headstone) next to Robert's, and their foot stones are side-by-side as well. You may use these photos if you'd like with proper credit given (see my FindAGrave page for details ~ at bottom).
In New England at that time, probably the majority of graves had a headstone and a foot stone. What you see in this case is the head stone and an elaborate foot stone. Most foot stones at the time were not so detailed and elaborate at all and only contained initials and maybe a small coffin motif under the initials.

"I have a question regarding the photos on Robert Fletcher's memorial page. Does he really have two stones? I find on Ancestry that the lower photo is used for a Robert Fletcher 1727-1792."
Question: Are my photos being used on ancestry.com and am I being credited for their use?

|Susan||Daniel Morehouse Johns|
I went looking for any death information about the Johns on a NY newspaper database. I didn't find any death notices or obits, but did find a mention of Daniel in a Chatham NY paper (1931), in a "Genealogy of Columbia" column. Says he was of "North Hillsdale", b. 1821, son of Silas of Stockbridge Mass (b. 1786, d 1824), who married Polly Morehouse and served in War of 1812. Silas was the son of Peter of West Stockbridge, Ma, b 1761? d. 1843, married Betsey Knapp
Don't know if this is your Daniel, nor can I vouch for the info, but thought I'd pass it on. If Daniel was "of North Hillsdale", he's probably buried there.
I can email a copy of the pdf if you want it

I just created a memorial for John Martin, son of:
Albert F. Martin (1868 - 1934)
Mary Mallon Martin (1867 - 1935)
I linked him to his parents. It looks like you may be related? If he is part of your main family tree let me know and I will transfer him to you.
