RE: Memorial# 23719429
Hi

Please request changes using the Edit tab on the memorial you wish to have updated. Many of them get set up for automatic processing. For the others it eliminates errors flipping back and fort between different pages.

Thanks.

Lot Whitten "Whit LW" Brantley
Your memorial number 74564010 is a duplicate with no cemetery. The actual location of his interment is Brantley-Thompson Cemetery located a couple of miles outside Bellieville, Conecuh county, Alabama. Brantley Crossroad is the intersection nearest (county roads 15 and 20). The memorial number of his place of interment is 126574658. In are around 2004 some of lot's dependents descendants had is headstone relocated to Bermuda Community Cemetery, Conecuh county, Alabama. His remains were not disturbed but the location of the headstone is memorial number 100227623 managed by Darryl Searcy. I manage 126574658. I am attempting to recreate records of this old "Brantley-Thompson Cemetery. If you would be so kink as to provide you direct email address, I will be happy to share my information. We should work together and merge these memorials.

My direct email is
PS: note I have a picture of Lot uploaded.

LW & John Brantley
Would you be so kind and provide a little assistance. I am researching LW Brantley (memorial 126574658) descendants and John "R or K" Brantley ( Memorial 23719429) ancestors. I know for sure the two paths will meet. Was LW Brantley the father or grandfather of John Brantley? I am missing a generation if LW was his grandfather but if he was his father the two paths have meet.

Any assistance will be most appreciated

Kind regards,

Wayne

Maui Girl 808
Brantleys buried at Witherington Cemetery
I am retiring from creating memorials on Find A Grave. I see that you created several memorials for other Brantley family members and want to keep families together as much as possible, so I am transferring Frank, Harris H, Sarah E and Sarah Emily Witherington BRANTLEY to you. Sarah Emily was a descendant of my Witherington line.

Regards,
Joannie (Maui Girl 808)

Joseph S Brantley
There is a large cemetery complex in Monroeville, Alabama called Pineville. Pineville is made up of three distinct cemeteries: Hillcrest, Pineville and Baptist. Mr. Brantley is in the older Baptist section, Memorial 115492940. If you will visit the Baptist Cemetery you will see the headstone pictures at: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=cr&GSln=jones&GSiman=1&GScid=2536905&CRid=2536905&pt=Baptist%20Cemetery&

Gabrilla Brantley Champion
Gabrilla is my 2nd great grandmother. Her eldest son, Hilliard Jefferson Champion, she died in 1913 or 1914. He said that she was buried in an unmarked grave in White Rose Cemetery but we've been unable to find any record of it. His youngest daughter, who is living, said that they visited the grave once and that he planned to place a stone on it. But, she doesn't know if he ever did.
Do you know where in the cemetery she is buried? My great Aunt would like to make sure she has a marker and visit Gabrilla's grave.

Alsups in SE MO
I noticed that you were leaving flowers for the Alsups in SE Missouri.
My mother had a photo in the family pics of her about 10 years old (probably about 1938) standing in front of the Crowder, MO school.
In the photo is Jimmy and Eunice Alsup.
I thought if this was your family, you might want a copy. Are these your Alsups?

Claire
Jack Springs Cemetery photo requests
I tried to tell you before that this cemetery is not called this anymore if it once was. It is the McCullough Community Cemetery and it has been recorded completely. Creating a new cemetery page and calling it Jack Springs Cemetery and then making photo requests there will not get your photos taken. I suggest you look at the pages for the McCullough Community Cemetery and I know at least that Ezra Mack will be found there.

RE: Asaph Alsup' grave
I am probably having a senior moment. but I can't remember what this is about. Apparently, I asked if I could transfer a memorial to you. I checked the graves for Asaph Alsup. There are about 6 of them, am none are for a memorial that I manage. Could you help me remember what this about.

RE: Tabitha Brown Alsup
I'll try to keep this brief! :)
I was searching for the great Cherokee warrior chief Oconostota whom my grandmother said was my 5th great-grandfather. He was supposed to be through the line where Drury Alsup and Tabitha Brown were. I then hit the brick wall with Tabitha. Knowing that finding native American roots were difficult, I wondered if she could be the link. I had also heard that Chief Yonagusta "Drowning Bear" was a grandfather of ours, too.
I have a first cousin that is an archaeologist that has traced our tree back to Oconostota but hasn't had the opportunity to share his findings. He did give me the hint to find an in-common surname with people related to the Cherokee Civil War Brig. Gen. Stand Watie. Lo and behold, the name was "Brown". Chief Drowning Bear's English name was "John Brown". When I plugged his name in as Tabitha Brown's father, I quickly shot straight back to Oconostota.
I'm not saying that my research is correct, but it is what I was expecting to find, except Oconostota turned out to be my 6th great-grandfather.
I would be interested to hear your thoughts on this possibility.
Happy to be your cousin!
Kim

Walter Dunn
Dorothy Elliott # 71920618
Please add Plot:
Section C Lot 108 Space 7

She was buried under the name of Collins and buried next to her husband Elliott. I assumed Elliott was her 1st husband and Collins was her last husband. Head stone gives her name: Dorothy Dean Elliott and which I would assume Dean was probably her maiden name.

Susan Alsup
According to my info, Susan was a cousin to Daniel and the child of an Asaph Alsup.
Email me and maybe we can exchange info, because obviously you have something different than I.
The information I got was from another source and if it's wrong, I'd really like to know.

Thanks
Amy

RE: Solomon
My wife is a Solomon and descends from Lazarus. I have been working the Solomon line for about 15 years and use Find-a-Grave to keep track of the principal lineage graves. Do you descend from Mary Solomon and Lazarus Soloman Brantley?

I have no idea. However, I will be glad to help you in your research. Neither Bertha nor her mother Louisa BYRNS Parish are my direct line - Louisa's sister Emma Lee BYRNS Harrison is my line. But I will do what I can for you.

We should probably email from this point on.
