Jefferson B. Gober
Hi James,

Due to a sickness in my family, I had forgotten all about your transferring me the additional memorial that you have for Jefferson B. Gober, buried in Hall Cemetery, Poteau, Le Flore Co., O.K.

I transferred the memorial back to you, as it is very confusing for other family members, when they want to link some one to a parent and they find two memorials for that parent, and can only link to one of the memorials. It can also cause some of the children wind up being linked to one memorial and the rest of the children to the other memorial.

I did delete the links to the parents on the returned memorial , so that there would not be two Jefferson's linked to the one set of parents.

Normally, when there are two memorials for the same person, the one with the later date of being created is deleted, however only the person that created it originally can delete it. I would not be able to delete the memorial that you transferred to me.

I had a situation similar to occur with my GGG-Grandparents, who are buried in Georgia. I created a memorial for my GGG-Grandparents, but later found out that the cemetery has two separate parts with only a drive through road that divides the two halfs. Both halfs have the same name , but one has old attached to name. There was a gentleman who had already created memorials for my GGG-Grandparents on the other side of the road.

He was very kind to transfer them to me, and I was going to delete his , so that my GGG-Grandparents wouldn't have two memorials. I wouldn't have wished to that, except for the reason that part of the children had already been linked to the memorials I had , and the others were linked to the memorial's he had (and then transferred to me)......So, now my GGG-Grandparents have two memorials each, and it is so sad for me to see that all of the children are not linked in one place together.

I did want to let you know why I transferred your memorial back, so that you wouldn't think I was ungrateful for your kind jester.

Until Later......God Bless,

Ed Harrison & Lillian
Thank you for adding pics of my grandparents, Ed & Lillian Harrison as referenced on their gravestone. I note in this cemetery listing, you have Lillian listed only by "Lillian" without adding her last name. I would sure appreciate if you would allow me to maintain Ed & Lillian's as I have already linked family members & have additional to add & link. Thank you!

RE: Memorial #63431502 Photo
The photo for Donald Tanner, same cemetery is correct, which is the photo for Bertha Weatherford Tanner, 63431502. The photo that should be on her memorial is the one that is on her husband's, 63431520. Thanks for looking into this. Bev

Memorial #63431502 Photo
The photo you placed on this memorial is for Donald Tanner, who is also buried in this same cemetery. Bertha Weatherford Tanner was married to David Oscar Tanner #63431520. You do have the correct headstone on his memorial. Would you be able to remove the photo on this memorial? Thanks. Bev

Did you hear that my uncle Jerry (Verlin & Lula's son) passed away in June?

Added by Bell on Aug 30, 2013 10:21 PM

Uh oh, I guess I need to change the cemetery for Verlin's page. I made it in 2006...someone told me PawPaw was buried at Glendale Cemetery in Wister. So he's at the same place as George & Lucinda?

Added by Bell on Aug 30, 2013 10:19 PM

Hi again! Are you related to the Halpain family? My paternal Grandmother was Lula Halpain Stine, daughter of George Sanklin & Mary Lucinda Halpain.

Thank you!!!
I haven't been on here in awhile, so I just noticed you added a picture of my Great Grandmother's headstone on 06/30/2013. Her name is Mary Stine (Memorial# 15868553). She died when I was really young and I've never seen it before. I cannot thank you enough! :)

I just wanted to say thank you so much for the transfer of my gg grandfather and for finding his stone and taking the photo. I never really expected to find him. He has a fascinating history and I am so glad to finally be able to tell his story. Thank you so much for the out of guidelines transfer. You are what Find A Grave is really all about!

I noticed you posted a picture of Eliza Ray in the Upper cemetery. Are you familiar with that cemetery or any others in that area? I have been searching for graves of Thomas and Samira(Ray) Dickson. Do you know where I could get any records of the burials in the local cemeteries out there?Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

Ollie Banda

Please send the question via the edit field as I am not sure who you are asking about.
Thank you so much!!
