No. Earnest Smith who is buried in Panquin Cemetery - his parents are Oliver Smith and Alva Bearden. They are also buried in Panquin.

RE: McEntire Family
I encountered that family while doing research on the, One of them was named Boyce who had a daughter who left Texas and went to New York. I was unable to find out more about her.

I always wanted to know more about
John McEntire who passed away in 1934.
And his grandmother Minerva Crocker.
I believe she may have been from Cherokee County,NC originally? I was unable to find her parents. Then there was the matter of who Myra's father was--John's mother.
I had a rather spirited discussion on an board about Minerva Crocker.I wasn't able to find any photos of anyone of Margaret's children or John.
I interviewed Mattie before her death, the second wife and she told me a lot about the Turners (her family) but nothing about John.
The Turners apparently were of Choctaw descent and the Smiths were of Cherokee descent.
I'd love to know more about John. Mattie was such a kind, dignified lady with almost total recall.
Thanks for the link.

Glad I could help
You are very welcome. I am in Lubbock for a short time, but thought I would try to find a few burials. Wish I had had more luck for others as well.

Helen McEntire Schmidt Collins
Thank you again for your thoughtfulness and well-done research..

The only link I could access to add your information was for her second husband but, not to worry, I took the information you sent about her parents & requested the webmaster to make the link.

I had never seen a good photo of John Crocker Simpson McEntyre before.Thank you again.

Do you happen to know who Minerva Crocker's parents were?

Helen McEntire Schmidt Collins
Thank you for your kindness in sending me the links to both John McEntire/McEntyre and Martha Rose "Mattie" Turner McEntire.

I don't know how to link Helen McEntire Collins to them, unfortunately or I would. If you know how, please feel free.

She has two more brothers who are still living.

Mrs. Collins' maternal grandfather was James Clyde Turner who was Choctaw and a Texas Ranger.(Authenticated)His wife was Nancy Tellitha Smith.

According to my best information John McEntire was originally John Simpson who was born in Lumberton,NC as a Lumbee. He appears with both parents in one of the Census records. His mother was Myra or Myla Crocker. She was the daughter of Minerva Crocker found in Spartanburg,SC 1860 Census. John was informally adopted by Zachary Scott McEntire. I don't know much more about the family.

Again,thank you for your kindness.

John Brewer photo request
I would be happy to fill your photo request, however, can you contact Grove Hill cemetery and get the burial locations for your requests: 214-381-7118
There are over 323 photo requests and the volunteers can not ask for that many locations.

Your request will get filled with the location information. The cemetery does not like to cooperate with findagrave volunteers.
