Aniceto Oliva Castaneda
California Death Index indicates that Aniceto was born in about 1887 and died December 1, 1933 in Imperial. Other baptismal records suggest that he possibly was baptized 12 June 1887 - Nuestra Seņora del Refugio, Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico.

Census records indicate that Aniceto lived in Brawley, Imperial County, CA in 1930, was a widower, head of household, and had several children living at home: Luis, Lorenzo, Alois, Petra, and Marellina, all born in Mexico except the eldes, Luis. Spelling may be wrong - census takers were notorious for not getting names right.

Also, the memorial for Dora Lopez would be the correct one. The one you made for Dora Castaneda Lopez is the one that needs to be taken down. You can add Castaneda to Dora Lopez without creating a whole new memorial.

Hope this was helpful,
Susan

Dora Lopez Memorial #140348890
I went by the cemetery this morning to check on Dora Lopez. There is only one Dora Lopez (Dora Castaneda Lopez), for whom there is already a memorial on Findagrave with a good photo of the marker. If this is not the Dora Lopez you are seeking, then you will have to look elsewhere for her.

If this is the same Dora Lopez, then you need to take down the new memorial #140348890.

Respectfully,
Susan

Dora Lopez
Carmen -

Is this Dora Lopez the same person as the Dora Lopez whose grave I already photographed for you? There is already a memorial page for her, which I believe you created. This will be two Dora Lopez's with a death date in 1977 at the same cemetery? Please advise before I go looking again.

Thanks,
Susan

First photo
I must apologize for the error in finding Dora's grave. Because I was ill, my daughter, who has begun helping me with taking photos at Union, went alone. There was a misunderstanding about where the grave should be located. Again, I'm sorry for the mix-up and hope you like the new pictures.

Ramona & Serena
aniceto castaneda
Hi again. We decided to go and find the few requests from Mountain View in Calexico. We called the office first. They didn't want to help us. So we decided to go on our own and look. We never found a headstone for Aniceto. There were a few large headstones that had fallen over, so we couldn't read the names on them since they were face down in the dirt. There were also others that were unmarked. But out of all the ones marked, we didn't find him. Our guess would be he's in the historic section, because of the date he died. Sorry we couldn't be of more help to you.

I see that you've put him down 10 times in all locations in the Imperial Valley. Well to narrow it down, Westmorland doesn't have a cemetery, St. Francis & Riverview are the same cemetery and he's not listed there (http://zope.cemeterydata.com:20280/BSM_Control/home/burial_search?name=castaneda), he's not at the Historic Cemetery in Imperial, so if you'd like to call the El Centro Evergreen Cemetery and check there (760) 352-1468. Or you could call Mt. View Cemetery (760)357-3757. They are both extremely nice and very helpful. Hope you find him.
