RE: Spegal of Nebraska
Yes I am a distant relative of the Spegel's of Nebraska. That is if you are looking into the Spegel's from the Buffalo/Lexington communities.

David, if you are related to these Spegal's I would like any information as to how you are related. Likewise I will provide you with the genealogy data that I have acquired.

I see that you manage the gravesites of Jack and Patricia Spegel. They would be a second cousin to me.

Yes, I've ran across the family name Kuykendal in Hamilton and here in Franklin. Many years ago they ran a business here in West Frankfort. Kaye

Jim Weinmann
William Acks
David, thank you for the grave posting for William Acks. My grandmother Paula Acks was William's second wife. Her maiden name was Beeler, and her first husband Ernst Weinmann passed away, and she moved to southern Illinois and married William Acks.
A correction to your listing-
In the 1930 census listing, my father Ernest's (and my) last name spelling is Weinmann. If the census spelled it as Weinmany, that was an error.
The same for my Aunt Eva.

A message left for you by Eileen M. last November stated there was no stone for William. The Findagrave website also lists a grave for a William Acks in St. John Nepomucene cemetery with birth and death dates similar, but not the same (b. 1866, d. June 18, 1938). Could this be the missing stone for the William in Oddfellows?

RE: Photos left?
I went to Mt. Zion Cemetery and took better photo's of John Joseph Parkhill's military marker and of his and his wife, Reuverta Anna Wilson Parkhill's grave marker. I also took picture of Anna's parents, Thomas Wilson & Mary (Butler) Wilson's grave marker. Either Ginger Vick or JF Ehrhart had to have deleted them. If you want them send me your email address and I will email them to you. Kaye Harkins McClintock #47734417

David thanks for all your input and all your everything else. When I get time as I am busy as a hospice volunteer I haven't had time to update your 1001 request but trust me when I get time I will. I hope you can put your focus on someone else. Thank you very much for all your thoughtfulness. Good luck on your many adventures... No response is necessary as Im off to hospice.

#106716270 John Joseph Parkhill
Well our John Joseph Parkhill is really getting around for me not being able to find him! Just now found Mr. & Mrs Parkhill under different memorial numbers and JF Ehrhart (#47847353) added them Mar 14, 2013. Would you believe he has him in Mt Olive Cemetery at Bluford, Jefferson County, IL? I wrote him a message asking if he took the photo's and when. I also asked where even though he has Mt. Olive listed? I believe them to be Betty Albright's photos. I cannot believe I missed their grave today. There is not that many buried there. I did find Reuverta A. Wilson Parkhill's parents there? JF Ehrhart has no clue that Ginger Vick has them already listed. I am calling it a night, this has given me a headache! Kaye Harkins McClintock #47734417

RE: #95690086 Mr. Parkhill
Went to Mt Olive Cemetery in Bluford,Jefferson County,IL today and our Mr. John J. Parkill & wife were not there! Their gravestone photos I posted are definitely theirs but they are not in that cemetery and I looked long and hard for them. I think there must be two Mt Olive cemeteries. one in Hamilton County & one in Jefferson County. It appears the website that I found these on has some errors! The trip wasnt wasted as I got pictures of the church and cemetery plus done graves. Kaye Harkins McClintock

#95690086 John Joseph Parkhill
If this John Joseph Parkhill #95690086 was born 19 Dec 1891, he died 21 Jan 1961. He is buried in Mt Olive Cemetery in Bluford, Jefferson County, IL. I found it today on this website:

I posted both grave photos I found for John Joseph to his Memorial #95690086 today. I hope Ginger Vick doesn't delete them as they are Betty Albright's photo's, not mine! I posted the Mt Olive Church photo to Find A Grave as it shows this cemetery beside it but I really doubt Find A Grave will use it as it is not mine. It is Betty Albright's too! The Cemetery is listed on Find A Grave as being in McLeansboro but it isn't cause McLeansboro is in Hamilton County, IL. Mt Olive is in Jefferson County (county lines are close to each other. I am going to make a trip up there and get picture for myself of this cemetery and these grave markers and then I will get back to you. John Joseph is brother to Amos Martin Parkhill #20666185 and Amos is husband of Roxie P. (Carr) #20666191. Carr's are my direct line. Please send me your email address! Thank you, Kaye Harkins McClintock #47734417

Nancy Anna Storie
You requested a photo for her at Walla Walla cemetery - there is no "Walla Walla Cemetery" in the county BUT there is a Keiser Cemetery in Walla Walla county which has a Narsis Storie (with Photo) and a death date of May 24 1880. Would this be the person you are looking for?

Thanks so much for taking the time in sending me your note concerning my father service being at the same location as your's 30 yrs prior. He had fond memories there and mentioned it frequently through the years. I loved my Dad and miss him dearly. I hope to one day visit there-
Thanks again and God bless!

RE: Richard Etheridge
Our family has the discharge papers for William and George Etheridge who were slaves first and then Union soldiers last. William was killed during the war and his Father was paid a lump sum for his death. This official letter is addressed to Richard Etheridge also, we think because he was the only one who could read or write. Letter is dated 1873. They all enlisted into army about the same time from the same place. We are checking to make sure Richard was related to the other men. We know that their were many Etheridge slaves. The US Census does not name slaves by name in 1860. As of now I believe they were all brothers.

RE: Cruel notes
Hi there, Mr. Dave! Kumusta na rin? I'm just doing fine right here. Sorry for the delay in response as I was very busy lately addressing some unresolved issues here and at work recently.

True enough, there are some people here who do feel the need to bully or be rude to other people when they can easily get their message across in a proper manner. An example here was when a memorial creator, who I had sent a correction to indicating that the person was female and not male, declined my request as the person looked more masculine than feminine in the photo. It could been fine from there even though I know in my heart and mind that I'm correct until he/she mentioned "Razumijem?" at the end of the message, which I later found out is Croatian for "Understood?" I felt the comment was not only condescending but also makes me want to feel stupid when he/she may turn out to be that one as there are a lot of females who may look masculine when they have their hairs cut short. I deleted that message immediately upon receiving it without even responding to it in any manner possible.

So much for those nasty peeps. On a more positive note, thank you so much for your compliments. By the way, I'm from the Quezon City area within Metro Manila. I have already been to Bataan but I haven't been to Corregidor yet due to time and financial constraints, but I do very much like to visit that place once the opportunity comes. Barring any major obstacles, I and my parents could be travelling to Europe next year and hopefully visit the Auschwitz camp, which is included in my wish list of places to travel outside of my home country.

I guess that's all for now and "maraming salamat" for taking some of your time out to send me a message here.

Hi David,
I changed the cemetery, do you know if her husband is with her?

Joshua Belashazer Dotten

What line are you related to Joshua and Mary in? Joshua's brother James S. Dotten is my 3rd G.Gfather.

Thanks! Heidi

Re: Parkhill #95690086
The proper cemetery for this Mr. Parkhill is Mount Olive, Bluford, Webber Twp, Jefferson co, IL not McLeansboro Hamilton Co, IL. Please have your cousin to relocate his memorial to proper cemetery. Thank you.

Hi David,
No. I haven't created one for him yet. I hope to at some point. When I created the page for Jessica, I didn't have it in my mind to make one for Greg.
I will eventually. :)

Adelia Yost - Alexander
Thank you so very much for the photo of Adelia's monument. I went to school in Alexander with her daughter Rosalie Yost Schraeder. Joel was just a few years older then us. We are distant cousins. Have lost touch with Rosalie in the years that have past.

Interesting enough, Adelia and my Mother, Dorothea M. Pratt Schwindt, died the same day, May 31, 2012. Something more Rosalie and I share.

Anyway, I so appreciate your efforts and use of time to walk the cemetery and take the photos that you do.

There might be, I have heard of one in Kentucky but I'm not sure which county it's in. You can do a cemetery search and see what you can find.

I have sent a reply to your message, which appears to have been deleted from your message page.

Once again, can I place on record that your contribution is not welcomed by my father's family and would ask you again to delete your note.

Otherwise we will take steps to delete the whole entry.

Thank you

Still working on your 4 photo requests. Its a process... Have updated the cemetery with all known internments. Sorting out the unmarked ones (there are several 4?) -- am sure that they are in the info I just received.
