RE: Stowers
I don't have anything farther back than my great great grandmother, Elizabeth Jane McCollum Stowers, wife of Roebuck. I know that some of the Lithonia folks are related, but they are down another line. Thanks for the note. My address is if you would like to correspond.

Blog about Reagins
Hi P.P.P.!
On another note, here is something you might be interested in. I was a guest writer on a blog called Adventures in Cemetery Hopping ( I wrote about my experience in finding five generations of my family over the course of two days (when I was only looking for my grandfather). There are a number of pictures that I took as well as some others.

It's the post from October 11th.

If you read it, let me know what you think.

RE: Reagins
My grandfather was Marvin Joe Reagin, Sr (my father is Jr.). My great grandfather was Claude Reagin. Great, great: Jones Henry Reagin. Great, great, great: James Jones Joseph Reagin. Great, great, great, great: James Jones Reagin.

I believe I have found the unmarked area at the Lithonia cemetery where my uncle, grandfather, and both great grandparents are buried based on my mother's memory. There is currently just a tombstone with "Reagin" on it that marks the plot. I've put a picture of it on the Find A Grave site, and once I confirm that they are there, I'll make official memorials.

RE: Reagin Family
Hi there! It's good to hear from you!
Is that the Gibeon that's listed as G.B. at the McClung cemetery? If so, I'm decended from his brother James Jones Reagin who is my great, great, great, great grandfather, and who is at that cemetery as well. However, I've seen tons of Gibeons out and about on the different branches of the tree as well.

There are more Reagins at the McClung cemetery than McClungs. I think the only reason it's named the McClung cemetery is that there is a Confederate soldier buried there by the name of William McClung. You can see where the Sons of the Confederacy placed a newer tombstone.

I visited the McClung cemetery the same day as I was heading back to my current home in Seattle, or I would have at least come out with a weed whacker and tried to clean it up a bit. Watch out for all of the many fire ant hills hidden in the brush.

Good Morning.
Well, that cemetery had just been cleaned. Still rough, but I did the whole cemetery while it was good. I transferred some to Tony some time back. But, your note gave me the idea to give you some work. Having them might just lead you to break down some stone walls in your research. I have done it with siblings several times. Hears hoping that you will enjoy the research journey. If you do not want any that I transferred you can send them back and if there are some that you would like I will be glad to transfer them to your care.
Happy Researching, Bud.
PS The links were not available when I did this cemetery or I would have had a ball linking them up. I went to school in CT with a Reagin back in the early 50's. BB
