Thank you. Oh I feel the same way but some people do not want to share their things. I love sharing. Thanks again.

Thanks! I just like to ask because some people get upset if you use something they put on Find a Grave. I had it happen with a distant cousin I had shared with for several years and my mom shared with her mom before they died. I will never understand some people. My tree is public so it can be shared.
I am working on my Russell family right now but did work a little on Merrell's line after your note. I just realized I have been pushing that tree to the back and working on my own family instead of my husbands. I have just had a breakthrough after over 50 years and have found the parents of my great great great grandfather. Now I am trying to get past his parents to the next generation. It is a bigger puzzle and another David Russell to work with.
Let me know if I can be of help with your research.

RE: Merrill Thomas
I had heard about it but have never checked into it since I do Ancestry.com. Sounds like it might be a good one. I am not a computer person so I have problems learning new products. Guess we will have to do exchanges the hard way. My email is hkponder@teleshare.net. Get in touch with me there.

RE: Merrill Thomas
Martha Lydia Harvey Thomas born May 4, 1777 died before 1850 census of Clarke Co, GA. I am sorry I don't have anything on her. She is one of the brick walls. I have not been able to get past Merrell/Merrill 1774-1864. I am sorry but this is as far as I found the family. Son Merrell George was deaf and dumb and worked as a blacksmith and farmer. He was married to Emma Caroline "Carrie" Duncan first and had 12 kids. She died in 1864 and he married Martha Elizabeth A Marsh a widow of John P. Harvey. Merrell and Martha had 7 children but only 5 names are known. After Merrell's death martha moved to Texas with some of her chldren. Find A Grave Memorial# 87396940. Some of them are buried in the Holly Springs Cem. in Van Zandt Co, TX with her.
Do you belong to Ancestry.com? I have most of this on my tree. I will be happy to exchange information with you.

Hi Sherry,

I came across a small article in the "Griffin Weekly News" in 1882 that announced George's death. I hope you don't mind but I added the photo to the page you created. If you would like me yo remove it....I will.

Take care,
Rebekah
