Dora McFarland
Hope this finds you well. I have another question for you. Dora McFarland, daughter of Jacob D. McFarland, who married Otto Jeffers. Who is her mother? Is it Effa Jane Allen or Sarah Margaret Smith? Trying to fill in some information on the William McFarland line.

Joe Bryant's sister Vona
Hope it is okay to leave this here. I had someone contact me today about some Floyd people who are buried near here (just south of Indy in Greenwood). My first thought was that it's not the Floyds from Adair county is it?

Well it is! And one of them was married to my Papa's sister.

I think the date of her birth is wrong but I plan to go look for the stones tomorrow as long as it does not rain.

Vona Ellen Bryant Floyd

Her husband is linked to her memorial. I have already sent the links for her parents (Alexander Monroe and Nancy Elder Bryant) and have asked if James is linked to the wrong father as I have his father as Alexander Marion Floyd.

I know you are interested in all the Bryants, but then I saw that James' mother is a Conover so I knew you would want to know where they are buried. I will photograph his grave as well and any that the cemetery will give me locations for. They are a big cemetery and generally very busy so I will call them before I go and let them know the names I want.

Let me know if you'd rather have me send an email to your regular address.

Thanks for all the research you have done! I so like it when I can help just a little.

Reul Herbert Long
Was doing some more research and came upon the link for Reul. His father, Leonidas Preston's obit, it says he was 8 mos. old at death. The stone you photographed, when enhanced, says death was Feb. 23, 1899. Do you know anything one way or other?

Samuel Vaughan 1750
I found a listing for his will in the 1831 Russell Co. Will Book #1, pp. 69-71 which lists an inventory of is estate. The date is 1831.
Do you know if he died, and it took until the last heir reached 21 to file his will?
Trying to get verifiable records for our families history.
