Lewis Turner
There is a Burton Turner in East Nassau Cemetery, his birthdate is 1873, that is the only information available, no death date etc. I will photograph his headstone for you. You can use it or not. I am also trying to locate Emma Norton for you. She is not listed in the East Nassau Cemetery, or the Old East Nassau Cemetery. Or she may be under a different name. If you have any suggestions concerning this please let me know these cemeteries are less than 1 mi from my house.

RE: George Knowlton Information Source
I don't keep my suggestion for additions to memorials,so not sure what I suggested as changes, but his birth date & location are from the Military record offered and his death date is from SSDI. Hope that helps. My thanks for asking and for your memorials as very helpful. Dick Finnickl

Photos from Other Sources
I assume that when you have taken the photos from other sources before publishing on findagrave your caveats are not valid and don't apply.

Deborah Rudy
Sarah Bowes-Halifax, PA cem
Is your photo request still unfilled or did Kathy F. fulfill it last March?

The headstone that lists Sarah in the Halifax cem is a headstone for Elizabeth Ayers 1836-1915. It also lists Samuel Myers and Sarah Bowes on 2 lines, but without dates.

The Halifax censuses imply that Elizabeth is (keeping house) married to Samuel who is 10+ years older and that Sarah M Boas or Bowes is Elizabeth's mother.

William Annis
William is buried in sec 8 lot 50 of Mount View in Camden, Maine. I will photograph the graves in the lot. There is a database of the graves at Type in Annis, then look at sec 8, lot 50 for all the names in the lot. The Camden Town office has Mount View cemetery maps - do not know if they have a digital version.

RE: Moses Este/Moses Estey
Thanks for your note re Moses Este. I was hoping to ultimately understand the Salem witch connection, and instead run into possible Italian heritage! I hope you can find proof of either. Realize that I was trying to distinguish among the various David K Este men to find among others, the judge's namesake and nephew, David Kirkpatrick Este (c1812/1864 with an odd death on a California stagecoach). I have made progress on this branch.

To help you, here are a few Mss citations which I jotted quickly so do forgive errors:

Mss E79lq RM, two black boxes of papers, Letters and Misc papers of DK Este and fam. Gift of David Bruce, Jan 1947. Thick folders 1 and 2 seem to be legal letters written to him as an attorney. There is also a Folder 4, Wm Selden to David Este, 13 items (think these were a gift of Selden); Folders 1-4 in Box 1.

Folder 3, Letters of David Este to his Wife and Daughters, 1829-1875, 62 items. So massive quantities of un-abstracted info exists, among a myriad of holdings. The only letter which I have read, and purchased was from Folder 3, 62 items, 1829-1875. First letter there names DKE's wife, Louisa Miller. The fascinating 1832 letter, near the beginning of the folder, says (handwritten note) it was written to someone's grandfather (Judge) David K Este by his father-- the top line: "Philadelphia Jan 14 1832" and begins: "Dear Son, A Father may write to his child without offering any apology. Still my delay in not answering your interesting letter ...". Moses seemed to want to write about "* * the causes why I am so reduced." [he seems to mean financially poor since he continues to discuss wealth or lack there of.]

Excellent info is over in MssVF 1577 Este Family, 13 leaves present on 4 Apr 2011; old mss VF Cin Bio qE79. Here a typed mss "The Este Family" by E.N. Clopper is beautifully written--with a genealogy which on p8, includes Dr. Charles Este (d.1817 Dayton) as a son of Moses Este, and continues to chat about his son (p8-9), David Kirkpatrick Este (1812/1864) named for his uncle. The mss is said to be a gift of Edward N Clopper, 26 Feb 1951. 13 pp. [so this corrects the c1940s mss date which I often reference, so 1951].

ESTE citations, Cinti Mus Cntr, Cinti His Lib:
Mss VF 1577, Edw. Nicholas Clopper's 1951 mss;
MssVF 380, Hunter Hanly;
MssVF 3190, Walter S. Schmidt;
Mss E79lq RM, perhaps Box 1, Folder 3, Judge David K Este (2 boxes of letters include Moses Estes 1832 letter (3 pgs plus address page) but bottom portions torn off so no signature from Moses found so far)

Thanks for your terrific findagrave work! Know that I am not adverse to transferring the revised entry back to you, should you wish to work on Captain Moses Este further--I was trying to get the cemetery burial correction and new data in the loop. Yes his military service should be detailed further etc.

RE: Greenwood Cemetery
No problem we go nearly every weekend we are trying to do the entire cemetery. If it is heavy overcast or raining of course we don't go because the tombs don't show very well due to lack of light, Saturday is supposed to be sunny.
Have a great week

A bit tricky. At first Inglewood said he wasn't there. Finally found his CA Death Record as "Eddy". Called back & he is interred with Florence in the same crypt. Should be able to get you a photo Monday or Tuesday. Have a great weekend.

Florence Thorn
Hello! I added your Aunt Florence's place of birth. I will transfer but first I ask that you allow me to get photos of her crypt. You don't have to do a photo request, though, because if you do, I might not be able to claim it before someone else does. We are saturated with volunteers in the South Bay.

I'll let you know when the photos have been posted. In the meantime, if you have portrait photos of your Aunt, please feel free to add them.

PS - Chris Mills added about 25,000 memorials, using Inglewood's online grave locator. He passed them along to me when he got deluged with requests. At one time I believe he had over 400,000 memorials!

RE: McNulty Family in Southview Cemetery
I did take more photos and I posted those for Ernest and another for John per your request.I also have photos of the tops of the small stones and of 2 more sides of the big stone. I will e-mail them to you to use as you like. If you add more names to F-A-G fell free to add the photos as well. The top of the memorial is indeed broken but judging by a similar memorial, it was an urn that broke off and is nowhere nearby. The back of this memorial is blank. The stone next to John's military stone reads Mother. I assume this would be Letitia.

I thank you for your email. My Luther Humphrey Finney is my husband's 2nd great grandfather, which makes NathanielFinney his 3rd great grandfather. Nathaniel did indeed die in 1843,Hillsdale, Mich soon after their arrival to Hillsdale Co. Mich. I have my husband Seth's direct family line traced back into England to 1490, with documentation. I have been researching my husband, Seth Wilbur Finney's family for 30 years. I have much to offer. I have family documentation, and my own research documentation that I have gathered through the years. The photo's on my site are all mine, taken during my travels to the cemeteries during my research. I enjoy traveling the US in search of our families roots.
I thank you for the information you sent me, I will deal with it in due course.
