Thanks so much for the transfer! I have her linked to her parents and one of her children. Haven't been able to find an obit for her yet though.

Danelia, that is most kind of you. The only Talkington that I would love to "have" would be Annie Leola Watson Talkington, # 128589900. She would be my 2nd cousin, 1x removed. I have been working on my paternal Watson side. So if you would like to do that transfer, I would be quite pleased.

|Michael Jenkins-Brown||RE: Chappell Cousin?|
Yes, John Franklin Chappell is my 2nd Great Grandfather. I was talking on the phone with Dad today about the family tree. He doesn't know much about the Chappell's. He would really like to hear some stories about them. He misses talking to people who are contemporaries or older. They, his contemporaries, knew all the names and stories about relatives. No one today has the first hand info he is used to. My parents are in their 80's. My Dad is enjoying the information I'm finding about the family. It makes him happy to be able to talk to someone who knows the names he knows. Anything you know about the Chappell's would thrill my Dad.

Ignore my question about the Ankor Duck Mill. Pretty much everyone on that entire side of my family who didn't farm worked in Mills. At first they worked in what I assume must have been Aragon Mill, but after they moved to Rome they got work at Ankor Duck (I assume). I got mixed up because I've seen that Mill named in probably every other obituary for a family member from Aragon. I think I've seen a pay stub for my aunt Lottie East from the Aragon Mill when it was owned by United Merchants (or maybe the company just before them).

I'm a Brock through my maternal grandmother also, but since mine is still alive I'll just say that Eleazer David "Elie" Brock, Sr. (son of James O. "Jim" Brock and Rebecca E. Brock Brock) is my great-great-great-grandfather. I'm a descendant of Elie Sr's son Rev. Joseph Franklin "Joe" Brock, and his son Russell Lamar Brock.
This part of branch of my family is also where the Drummond come in. Rev. Joe Brock married Rosalia Nellie "Nell" Fricks, who is the daughter of F. Magnolia "Maggie" Drummond, who is the daughter of David M. Drummond and Mary Susan Brantley. They lived just outside of Aragon, and that entire family is burried at New Prospect Cemetery in Rockmart.
All of my grandmother's family is from the Aragon area. Are you at all families with the East or Cash families from Aragon? I swear everyone with ancestry going back to Aragon is related in some manner or another. You said you grew up in the Mill town, would that be the Ankor Duck Mill?
Also, I'm not sure what you know of Mike's branch of the Chappell family, but if you have an email I'd love to ask you a few questions about the Chappell family privately.

I've been making some edits on behalf of a friend who I believe is your cousin through the Chappell family. I was going to give him your contact information, but I noticed one of your virtual cemeteries is of the Brock Family. Are you related to James O. Brock and his wife/cousin Rebecca Emily Brock?

Cemetery: Chattanooga Memorial Park, Tennessee
Thanks for the photograph of my Dad's gravestone. However, in checking with the cemetery office today (05/17/2016) they have no record of this gravestone.
Since the date of his death was before 1995 at a time when the records being kept were not all that accurate (according to the cemetery representative), and since my Dad was cremated, his ashes may have been scattered in the duck pond and a marker just placed (almost anywhere) by a family member.
Therefore, I'm wondering if there might be a GPS reference, a latitude-longitude or a actual cemetery location that I can go to in order to visit his gravesite.
Thanks for your help and the service you provide,...

I wonder if you might be open to transferring Shawn Adams memorial to me?
Shawn was an ultimate Frisbee player and was struck by lightning 22 years ago today.
Obviously, I am not a descendent of Shawn's but he means a lot to the ultimate Frisbee community in Chattanooga and I would like to add some memories to his bio once I have rounded them up
His memorial number is 147712350
My reference number is 48591578
thank you for your work and considereation

I went to see where I got the info and saw where you did a memorial for her a year before I did only name was spelled differently.
My info came from the Polk County Cemeteries Aragon
I will write Find A Grave have them merge the two memorials
I cannot find a marriage for her after 1940 but there was 16 years between that census and her death. There are two Tarbush lines in the area about the same age as she was Ira and Dan Tarbush.
Clyde Tarbush is buried in section II he is a son of Dan Tarbush.
Arvella is buried in section I

|RD Ayers ||RE: Arvilla F (Chappell) Tarbush-?|
I found her obituary from the 1965 Rockmart Journal.
It states: "Mrs. Arvella Akins Tarbush, 64, passed away at her home in Rockmart, Friday, July 13."
It further states that she was survived by 4 brothers, each with the last name of "Chappell" as well as 4 sons with the last name of "Akins".
I can email you the copy of it that I have if you would like?
F/A/G/M doesn't allow uploading pictures of printed articles, such as obituaries, otherwise I'd post it to her memorial as a picture.
The obituary doesn't list who preceded her in death, only who survived her.

As I promised earlier, I placed a photo on Andrew's memorial showing the location of where he is buried. There is no stone for him here, but I wanted something to show what you are seeing. This is the G-donated section of Grove Hill Cemetery. The stones you see in the front two rows is considered G Section. All the ones further down the hill starting at the white stone is considered the G-donated section of the cemetery. It was simply space added later to be a part of the G section. The area from the closest tree on the left and rightward back to the fence is the G-donated section. There are only 10-15 stones here. None of them have Andrew's name on them. I do not know if a stone ever existed. There may have been one which could have sunk or deteriorated in some way, but it is just as likely there never was one. I just wanted to convince you there is no stone in Grove Hill with Andrew's name on it, even though the cemetery does have record of his burial.
