Memorial #53470199
Hi Susan,
I was wondering if I can use your picture of Rebecca Porter for my family tree book. Do you have one where the writing is clearer, or perhaps know what the writing says?

Trask family
Susan, thank you so much for taking pictures of Elias and Mary Trask for me. From somewhere I had hand drawn pictures of the graves, but now to see them, they look exactly like the pictures I have. Oh they are in the book The Trasks for Nova Scotia by Gwen Trask. In any case, these are my 7th great grandparents, and it was so great to be able to see these and to leave flowers and a note.

RE: Obit Theodore Phinisey
Well, here's the findings so far. According to the cemetery records there is a Ova Beryl Phinisey listed as being buried in Block 21 next to Theo Phinisey (1851-1911). Would you like to make the addition to findagrave? That way, you will be able to do the linking where it needs to be. She has no headstone to mark her grave. That's not saying she never had one. She just doesn't have one now. According to the records it looks like she could have had a marker. I thought I'd check with the local historian to see if she might know of something else for you.

RE: Obit Theodore Phinisey
Perhaps I was wrong... This Ova died in Los Angeles. Sorry.

Some of the Cherry Grove records were destroyed by a fire. The records were "recreated" using the walk through method. So, if the stone couldn't be read or there was no stone, there was no way of identifying the person buried there. I will try to get some more info for you. I won't delete your message to me until I communicate next with you. It will be my visual reminder to do some searching.

Chambers
Transfer complete...included other Chambers from Wise Cemetery. Figured they are all related somehow. Looking forward to seeing more information on the memorials. Enjoy and keep up the great work for Find A Grave.

Granary Burial Ground
You have a picture of Granary Burial Ground, Boston MA, posted on the Find-a-Grave site of Joseph Hall, Memorial 2092556. May I use this picture for my research? This Joseph Hall, my 3rd great grandfather has descendents down south in MS. Thank you for your time and effort with this request.

RE: William Rex Phinisey
Sue,
I have ties to the Phinisey family in Michigan. It's kind of complicated. Can you send me your email address or email me at chatty90@yahoo.com and maybe we can compare notes? I'm sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I forget to check this page for messages! :-) And yes, you may use the picture of the tombstone.
